Muijs' singing voice sounded uncannily like John Lennon's, which was reason enough for Smyle to try and copy The Beatles' sound as perfectly as they could. They did an astonishingly good job. Their most successful single, the George Kooymans-penned 'It's Gonna Be Alright', made the Dutch Top 10.
Guitarist Mark Boon said in an interview: "'It's Gonna Be Alright' came out in a plain white sleeve with just our logo on it. That was done on purpose, as Polydor wanted to keep things mysterious, hoping people would suspect it was a Beatles bootleg."

Les comento que a la banda Smyle la conocí a través de un album LP (Vinilo sello Polydor ) que era un compilado de simples de bandas varias en el año 1973 y me gustaron mucho, sobre todo por la similitud de la voz del cantante principal con la de John Lennon. Me encantan sus canciones. Heb ooit dit singeltje gekocht in de waan dat dit de Smile was van Roger Taylor & Brian May (Queen). Toen ik thuis kwam wist ik na een paar luisterpogingen pas hoe laat t was -> diepe teleurstelling. Desondanks de 'miskoop' heb ik dit daarna altijd een zeer geslaagde beatle imitatie gevonden ! Leuk dat ik de leden nu ook eens zie !
