Midnight Blues
Snowy White Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Cause I'm back then on my own again
This is the blues I'm playing
Yes it's the final thing
When the night is cold and lonely
This is the midnight blues
For the girl I left behind me
Ain't it the final thing
This is the blues
Just a feeling deep inside of me
This is the midnight blue
These lyrics are from Snowy White's song "Midnight Blues," which speaks to the feeling of being alone and experiencing the "blues." The opening line, "This is my blues," sets the tone for the song and highlights how the emotion is personal and unique to the individual. The second line, "Cause I'm back then on my own again," suggests that the singer may have experienced this feeling before and it has resurfaced once again.
The chorus of the song, "This is the midnight blues, for the girl I left behind me," speaks to a sense of regret and longing for someone who is no longer present. The final line, "This is the blues, just a feeling deep inside of me," emphasizes how the blues isn't just a genre of music, but a deep-seated emotion that can affect a person's soul.
Overall, the lyrics of "Midnight Blues" highlight the feeling of loneliness and sadness, which are common themes in blues music. The song captures the vulnerability and rawness of the blues genre, and Snowy White's heartfelt delivery adds to the authenticity of the emotions being expressed.
