Filming began in spring 2015, for an early 2016 television premiere. In an August 2015 interview Carson stated she was working on her first album. In sometime around September 1, 2015, Carson was added on the list of Hollywood Records artists. Previously, some of Disney Channel Europe websites reported the incorporation of Sofia to the label.

And now I'm something more than I ever imagined
I was so sure I knew exactly who you were
But you were something more than I ever imagined
In your arms, I'm safe and sound
You turn my world right upside down
But all the hell we've been through had a purpose
Always thought those feelings, they were stories not made for me
It's terrifying, but I'm pretty certain it's worth it
I didn't, I didn't know what love could, what love could be
Until you, until you loved my everything
The good, the bad, the in between
I didn't know you were something I could need
Until you, until you loved my everything
The good, the bad, the in between, all of me
I was fine before you kissed me on the forehead
Held me 'til the mornin', never imagined
In your arms, I'm safe and sound
You turn my world right upside down
But all the hell we've been through had a purpose
Together we are chaos and it's perfect
Always thought those feelings, they were stories not made for me
It's terrifying, but I'm pretty certain it's worth it
I didn't, I didn't know what love could, what love could be
Until you, until you loved my everything
The good, the bad, the in between
I didn't know you were something I could need
Until you, until you loved my everything
The good, the bad, the in between, all of me
I could die in your eyes for the rest of my life
I could die in your eyes until the end of time
I didn't, I didn't know
I didn't, I didn't know
I didn't, I didn't know
I didn't, I didn't know
I didn't know, I didn't know
The song "I Didn't Know" by Sofia Carson is an emotional tribute to falling in love unexpectedly. The first verse talks about how the singer was content with their life before the love interest came into the picture. The singer is thrown off guard because they underestimated the depth of their feelings towards the love interest. They never expected to feel this way.
The second verse describes the physical effects of being in the love interest's arms, the safety and security that comes with loving someone who reciprocates your feelings. Even though the relationship has gone through tough times, the lyrics suggest that it was all for a reason. It was worth it, despite the chaos that came with their love.
The chorus captures the essence of the song, with the singer admitting that they had no idea what love felt like until they met their love interest. They explain that they have fallen in love with everything about the person, even their flaws. The bridge emphasizes the depth of the singer's love, declaring that they could die in the eyes of their love interest and never want for anything else.
Overall, the song is about the transformative power of love, which can break down walls, alter our perceptions of ourselves and others, and propel us towards unknown heights of bliss.

Lloré como tormenta en el desierto, con ésta canción.
Me encantó!
Es la segunda canción que escuché de ella, la primera fue regresa a casa. Ambas en la película "corazones mal heridos"
Me encantó!
Gracias Sofía, por hacer que mi corazón sea cálido y tierno. Se me estaba colgelando.
I cried like a storm in the desert, with this song.
I loved!
It's the second song I've heard from her, the first was come back home. Both in the movie "badly wounded hearts"
I loved!
Thank you Sofia, for making my heart warm and tender. She was freezing me.

my favorite scene of the whole movie is exactly this part when she realizes she's in love, and at the same time, she's achieving a dream she had to fight for a lot. Many different and deep feelings here! You girl sing amazing as Cassie
