Kerrion from one black man to another who also suffers from mental health, I can see it in your eyes and by your actions you need help and it’s nothing wrong with getting help. If this will help you I just (myself) came from a mental health facility just two weeks ago. Let people say what they want but my brother in Christ you definitely need help and I pray you get it before anything bad happens. @Ayo Twist True, that’s y it’s better to meditate and find natural resources to heal, cuz medication doesn’t help really it chills you out. I knew someone that takes medication they said It’ll chill them, but they still didn’t feel secure inside and they feel crazy. Dr. Sebi was telling people the natural recipes and died later, I felt he was killed off for trying to save us, but they want to make money off medication. ✌🏽❗️

As the eldest child myself, I can attest that parents are not accountable for the failures brought upon us. It’s not a crutch but it does follow us in our adult lives while parents ignore it, sweep in under the rug, and be better parents for the remaining siblings. It’s hard to grow and forgive and now become the responsible adult and be the bigger person to take our own accountability and not place it upon the failure of our parents. It’s hard. It’s a lot to ask and places insecurities in us and we have to deal with much trauma. If you’re not the eldest, you cannot relate so it does not pay to leave nasty comments. I really understand this man’s pain because he has been neglected, ignored and thrown away because he (Kerrion) is the product of his father’s wrong choices at a point of his life that he (Kirk) was trying to FORGET and move on, but produced a son that did not ask to be here. The self healing, prayer and therapy doesn’t correct the pain that will always be in us as we have to reprogram everything negative that was implanted in us as we grow older and mature. I hope he keeps his peace within his current arrest because a spiritual battle is upon Kerrion right now.

His mother said he (Kirk)was an active father and took him everywhere. That her son had been around the world by the time he was 17. Not saying his parents did everything right..and he has been in therapy FOR YEARS. This boy is having issues with substances. (That jaw movement is common in cocaine and methamphetamine use that I've seen) He's in need of real help.

Something has happened to him & people have been trying to down him because of who his father is.. The pain in his voice does not just come from a disobedient child, it’s so much more. He does not need to be in a mental hospital, I can’t speak on what he needs, only he can but he’s been hurt by this family, & a lot too and coming from a African American broken family, this happens way to often and the family brushes it under the rug . If this man loses his life the same people on these threads talking bad about him instead of at least trying to understand his cries are going to be the same jerks saying "We didn't see it coming, rest in peace, why did this happen?, etc." I truly hate this world. I remember when he and his dad's issues were first put out in the public by him, many people including his parents said that they had been through counseling with him. Friends of the family talked about how Kirk, Tammy, and his mom had been dealing with this behavior and more for years. We need to pray for the Entire family because dealing with someone who has a mental illness is difficult.

@Jayy Speaks I totally agree. Taken on both sides. I have experienced this in my own life. My side is, I am my husband was their for our daughter. First, counseling sessions and family counseling sessions. We had to almost fight with her to take her medication. The Dr. finally wrote non-compliance because she would not do her part. As she got older, it got so bad that she would ask to be taken to the hospital. We would visit, go through counseling with her, everything. When she got out, she would be wonderful! Her medication would be regulated where she could function, be productive and not be combative. However, after a week, Lord Have Mercy! She would stop taking the medication. It is hard seeing your child like this. You are doing ALL you know how and within your means to help them yet, they won't help themselves. The family does not want to be around them because of their erratic behavior. People on the job stay their distance and don't want to be their friend because they consider them different. Then your child comes home upset and many times crying trying to understand why no one likes them. As a parent, your heart bleeds for your child. Please look at their faces, they are tired. Even now, my child is 24, I try to just love and love and love. However, on a day when I have had enough, I do go off like Mr. Franklin did. I have been having this issue since my child was a baby. I saw it early. LOL. I remember calling my grandmother and she gave me some wisdom. God knows, she was not lying. So, just as with my child, he has to admit he has a problem. Everybody is not lying on him. Hello, my name is Cee and I am a shop-a-holic. Lord, please deliver me.

I truly regret the way I treated him. heI love my son and his twin plus their sister. He makes me laugh to know end. I think my mans is just sensitive, feels like a failure and wants to be accepted. His also prideful which is his downfall and unwilling to reason with his parents unless it's his reason. I believe he just needs his own space and own place to call home, he's lost and angry but he's taking it out on the wrong people. As a man, everything you do is your fault may it be good or bad, we accept that life is unfair, sexist and at times even cruel beyond measure. I can kinda understand his pain. To not have the needed mental and emotional support the second things hit the fan. As hard as it will be, he needs to remove himself entire from them and find a new circle of friends. Healthier, supportive, and encouraging circle so he can get on a better path. You don’t want to go to a mental institution….then definitely go see a mental health counselor. You’d be surprised at the growth you can achieve the moment you start focusing inward and working out.

This is oh too familiar. Being called crazy or told you have a mental health problem as if it’s something that just happened at birth. Parents avoiding any responsibility for what has you spiraling into depression. Saying “you need help” but won’t admit that you need help because you are a legit losing your mind due to the abuse and neglect behind closed doors…I wouldn’t be surprised if Kirk Franklin is a narcissistic, abusive father and that it’s been kept behind closed doors because he is famous and revered as a holy man. The teeth grinding that u can hear thruout this I've only witnessed with people who abuse methamphetamine...This is sad on so many levels...I know from painful personal experience how that drug can change people's chemistry In their brain & the damage presents as a mental illness...I've lost 4 people to it ..3 have been buried. Imo i feel there's a lack of ownership & responsibility from kerrion..I think he gets hurt & angry when anyone recognizes & calls his issues out & bcuz he's not ready to own it he gets defensive making the closest people to him his enemy in his mind..I hope & pray he gets the help he so desperately needs.

Separate completely. Get a job, build a life, don’t be responsible for anyone but yourself. Get a apartment start slow and just step by step get out. If they (Parents) cause this much pain, separate permanently.
Pray for this family, pray for healing. Stop filming to cause future retribution and harm, because it’s going to turn around on you in time. Don’t do that. Don’t cause harm to people in general.

Those "services" often times do more harm and good and only continue the abuse pain and suffering for many people who are shut up, shut down and muzzled everyday and male profit and business off of people's pain. @Ebony Johnson I DO know what that medication AND therapy can do for a person. I also know what can happen if a person does NOT get treatment. I have suffered sexual trauma and worked with young adults who have suffered sexual abuse as well for years. So I am speaking from an educated perspective. If medication isn't what he chooses, then he really needs to be in weekly sessions to learn how to deal with his emotions, highs and lows. Again, I do not know for a FACT that he has suffered sexual abuse however, I do KNOW that his reporting it publicly means that an investigation has to be opened and serviced have to be offered to him. He can refuse them but from what I have observed, he would benefit greatly from therapy.

Do you know how many people have killed themselves being on those drugs that are used for "treatment" not to mention seizure, strokes, worsensed symptoms, etc and been abused by the system that claimed they would "help" them? @Ebony Johnson I absolutely know that no person is above the law. My issue is only fact, I don't now the family personally so I cannot say if he is telling the truth or not. I do know that he, in spite of the trauma, is presenting as bi-polar. I have some experience with people with mental illness and he is showing classic behaviors that suggest he needs treatment. Now, whether that treatment comes in the form of medication or therapy is up to him and his medical team however, treatment is needed in order for him to heal.

He said he has peace in his heart. Meanwhile, he was sitting with a bible and a gun. We don't know what's going on within the family. There's three sides to a story, his side, his parents, and the truth. What I will say, you can hear his teeth against each other. As a mental health provider, it seems that his thought process is all over the place. I don't know him personally, but based upon my observation, he appears to be in need of a psych evaluation.
