In July 2000 they toured Canada as part of YTV's PsychoBlast Tour, supporting Christina Aguilera and also headlining the Canadian tour in 2001. In Fall of 2000 they toured along with Destiny's Child, as support act for Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle Tour" throughout North America. They were the support act for NSYNC on the Eastern North America dates of Leg 2 of the "No Strings Attached Tour" in 2000.
After promotion and touring for their first album had completed, soulDecision went on a long hiatus which resulted in a big change in line-up. In 2004, Dave Bowman left the band, and three additions took place to the band: James Reid (guitar), Tino Zulfo (bass) and Terepai Richmond (drums). Before the release of their second album, 'Shady Satin Drug', the band claimed that their original line-up was badly influenced by the record company, given a marketing-based image that they didn't agree with.
With the album being released on lead singer Trevor Guthrie's record label, Sextant Records, the band was allowed more artistic freedom over their work. The album subsequently was released in Canada only in October 26, 2004 although it was available for purchase online through their official website. With "Shady Satin Drug", the band moved towards a more upbeat and danceable sound that was more similar to their hit single, "Faded". The band became marketed more as credible musicians rather than as a pop band, as seen by their music video "Kiss The Walls". While the band received major airplay with their single, "Kiss The Walls", the album sales were significantly low only selling 10,000 copies.
Since then, soulDecision have disbanded with lead singer Trevor Guthrie announcing a solo career.

Than have to say I'm sorry,
Even when I'm right, I'm wrong.
Don't deny,
You left while I was sleeping,
You put out my lively creeping,
Oh, I can't sleep at all.
To sacrifice.
Baby, you just want to believe,
That you're always right.
So I'm leaving,
Must have been dreaming,
If I thought you believed in me at all,
But you don't even sing my songs,
You just hum along,
You can't wait 'til they are done.
Tell me how can I love someone,
When I'd rather kiss the wall?
You kiss me in the sky,
To keep my arms around you,
And let my love surround you,
But you kept your love aside.
You bled me dry,
Took all the love left in me,
Took all your love to give me,
And you wrapped it up in lies.
Baby, you don't know what it means
To sacrifice.
Baby, you just want to believe
That you're always right.
So I'm leaving,
Must have been dreaming
If I thought you believed in me at all,
But you don't even sing my songs,
You just hum along,
You can't wait 'til they are done.
Tell me how can I love someone,
When I'd rather kiss the wall?
When I'm wrong, you're right,
But I'll be leaving you tonight.
I'm so right, and you're so wrong,
You can be right here and all alone.
'Cause I'm leaving,
Must have been dreaming
If I thought you believed in me at all,
But you don't even sing my songs,
You just hum along,
You can't wait 'til they are done,
So I'm leaving,
Must have been dreaming
If I thought you believed in me at all,
Oh, you don't even sing my songs,
You just hum along,
You can't wait 'til they are done,
Oh no, tell me how can I love someone,
When I'd rather kiss the wall?
In SoulDecision's song Kiss the Walls, the lyrics express frustration and disappointment in a relationship. The chorus makes it clear that the singer would rather kiss the walls than say sorry, even when they are right. This suggests that the relationship has become toxic and that the singer feels unheard and unappreciated. The following verses highlight the various ways in which the singer has been let down, including being left while they slept and being bled dry emotionally. These experiences have left the singer feeling disillusioned and unable to continue in the relationship. While the partner in the song does not appear to understand the singer's feelings, the singer is clear that they need to leave and that the relationship has been a dream.
The song speaks to a common experience of being in a relationship where one feels unnoticed and unloved. The lyrics touch on themes of sacrifice, emotional exhaustion, and the desire for validation. The chorus's repetition of "tell me how can I love someone when I'd rather kiss the wall?" suggests that the singer has reached a breaking point and can no longer continue in the relationship without sacrificing their own needs and desires.
