This OP has a special meaning to me.
My sister used to watch this anime and at that time I was just 5 and didn’t even know about this anime but 10 seconds of this OP remained instilled in my mind by chance and more than 10 years it still resonated in my mind sometimes so one day I decided to look for the OP whose melody remained in my mind. Oh the feels! I was head over heels in love with this anime back in high school. Still am now (I am 25 now btw) I am really thankful for the vendor who sold me a bootleg shojou cd (thinking I actually bought the same content shown in the case) then when I played it, this came out. I watched this series by way of fansub in back in 2005 when it came out. back then the translators put the japanese lyrics up top and the localized lyrics at the bottom for every single anime OP/ED just like this video and that's how we all learned the songs and their meanings. sometimes they even animated the text so you could follow along like it was karaoke. their efforts were much appreciated, and I miss that with anime now. still know the words because they played this multiple times per episode lol. the show was nothing special IMO (especially with the amount of mecha titles back then), but this is still probably the greatest OP I've ever heard. always brings back memories

You need to watch both the original Sousei no Aquarion and its sequel Aquarion Evol. Preferably the sub. I usually dont get into the sub v dub stuff, but there is a lot of lost meaning and jokes in the dub translation
