attention of upcoming producers Mike Chan and Bobby Campbell. Chan and Campbell, who then were writing music themselves and in need of a vocalist, invited Hall for a jam session, and in March 2008, South Jordan was formed.
The demo's by South Jordan attracted the attention of Farm Fresh Studio owner Jacob Belser, who invited them to his studio to record their 'Only Halfway' EP. (Coming out late July on iTunes and Amazon Music)
Mike hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Bobby from Hagerstown, Indiana and Hall from Chicago, Illinois. Given their various backgrounds and influences, each member brings something of their own to the group. This is demonstrated in their 6 track EP, where songs deviate from upbeat to epic.
South Jordan has a rigorous performing schedule ahead of them in the Fall. They will perform both acoustic and full-band shows within the MidWest region and fulfill their dream of bringing their brand of music to the masses.
South Jordan's current line up still include Michael David Hall on vocals, Bobby Campbell on keyboards and guitar, Benton Kubicki on bass, and Jesse Feister on drums. Their full length album, Keep Calm and Carry On, debuts December 20, 2011.
Naked

Whoa, oh, oh, (x3) Yeah...
I've always been a friend in your eyes,
Watching you chase the wrong guys,
And it hurts to know,
When they take you home.
You either wanna kiss or kill me,
Cause it's do or die,
Time to cross this line.
I need a chance,
I need a plan,
I wanna stand in front of you and bare it all.
Something to say to change the way,
You're thinking of me,
Gotta let it go!
I wonder what you look like naked!
Baby, baby, please don't hate me.
Tried to bite my tongue,
That just left me numb.
I wonder what you look like naked!
I wonder what you sound like saying:
I, I do. I, want you.
Whoa, oh, oh, (x3) Yeah...
You got so drunk that one night,
You were holding my hand so tight.
Helped find your phone,
Had to carry you home.
You were laughing so hard that you cried,
About everything wrong with your life.
As I wiped your tears,
It was so damn clear.
I need a chance,
I need a plan,
I wanna stand in front of you and bare it all.
Something to say to change the way,
You're thinking of me,
Gotta let it go!
I wonder what you look like naked!
Baby, baby, please don't hate me.
Tried to bite my tongue,
That just left me numb.
I wonder what you look like naked!
I wonder what you sound like saying:
I, I do. I, want you.
Come on, come on, come on,
Just face it.
Come on, come on, come on,
We can't fake it.
This is love, this is love, whoa...
Come on, come on, come on,
Just face it.
Come on, come on, come on,
We can't fake it.
This is love, this is love, this is love.
Ooooh...
Haven't you noticed the way I look at you?
Gotta let it go!
I wonder what you look like naked!
Baby, baby, please don't hate me.
Tried to bite my tongue,
That just left me numb.
I wonder what you look like naked!
I wonder what you sound like saying:
I, I do. I, want you.
Whoa, oh, oh, (x3)
This is love, this is love, whoa...
Come on, come on, come on,
Just face it.
Come on, come on, come on,
We can't fake it.
This is love, this is love, this is love.
Haven't you noticed the way I look at you?
The lyrics of South Jordan's "Naked" describe the internal struggle of a person who has been friends with someone they are secretly in love with. The songwriters use the imagery of being naked to symbolize emotional vulnerability and honesty. The singer has been watching their crush pursue the wrong people, and it hurts to see them come home with someone else. They want to share their feelings but are aware that their friend might react negatively. However, they can no longer keep their feelings bottled up and decide to take the leap and confess their love.
The second verse further emphasizes the longing and the helplessness felt by the singer, who has to watch their friend suffer in their personal life. The song suggests that the romantic interest between them has existed for a while and is not just based on physical attraction. In the final chorus, the songwriters urge the singer and their friend to acknowledge their love and not pretend otherwise. The song ends on a hopeful note, with the singer admitting their feelings and hoping for reciprocation.
Overall, "Naked" is a heartfelt plea for love and acceptance. The song's lyrics capture the bittersweet experience of unrequited love and the fear of losing someone close. It is a relatable theme that has found resonance with many fans of the song.
