Intro
Sparks Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't listen to what he or she says
Cuz they see another perspective on your life
You are the main character of your story
It's whether you on the 1st floor or the last floor
No one ever believed in me
But I always kept my head up
He or she who ditch me
Shall know the value of EM in 3D
You can't be the greatest
Without stepping on hatred
It can become a trend
If you let it eat you up
A breakup can be hard
But stand up and fill the puzzles
Don't Make trouble define you
Remember you are a king or Queen
Look in the mirror and know that you are beautiful and unique
God didn't make no mistake
Humans are just aren't awake
Snakes in the bush
Always want to still your vision

It's whether you keep it to yourself
Or you end up like Joseph

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Sparks's song Intro are a powerful message of self-belief and empowerment. The song starts with an encouragement to ignore the opinions of others, as their perspective is limited in understanding your life. The refrain reminds the listener that they are the singer of their life story, regardless of where they are placed in it. It highlights the importance of keeping one's head up, even when others don't believe in you. The line 'he or she who ditch me shall know the value of EM in 3D' uses a technical term from engineering and 3D modeling to convey the idea that those who underestimate you will realize how much you are worth in the future.

The lyrics also address the idea of negativity and hatred, stating that one cannot achieve greatness without stepping on them. However, the song advises against letting such negative emotions consume you as it can become a trend. Instead, the listener should stand up and solve the puzzles in their life. The song also touches on the idea of self-worth, reminding the listener that they are unique, beautiful and that God didn't make any mistakes when creating them. The lyrics warn against those who detract from your vision, implying that these people are snakes in the bush. The final lyric says it's up to you whether to keep your vision to yourself or share it with others, referencing the Biblical story of Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his brothers but rose to prominence by interpreting dreams.
