The band got their name while in the USA. The four often got coffee at Starbucks, and in the USA, Konstantin was known as 'Stan' - and at Starbucks they write your name on the cup when you order. The waitress asked them if they were a band and suggest the name therefore.
In September 2007 Stanfour released their debut single, Do It All, which jumped in the German single charts, and reached place 46. Their second song, For All Lovers, was chosen by Sat.1 as trailer music for the TV show 'Nur die Liebe zählt' (Only Love Counts) and ran in September 2007. Their debut album 'Wild Life' came out on February 29, 2008. From April 2 to May 5, the band were the main opening act for the Backstreet Boys on their European Tour (Germany, Belgium & Luxembourgh).
Stanfour has also toured with John Fogerty (Creedance Clearwater Revival) and played shows with Daughtry, One Republic and Bryan Adams. In addition to the heavy hitters they’ve performed with, Stanfour has had some powerful players in the music industry working on this project. Writers Max Martin [Pink, James Blunt], Lindy Robbins [Backstreet Boys], Jess Cates [Backstreet Boys], Ryan Tedder [Singer, OneRepublic], and Desmond Child [Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Kiss] all contributed to the album, with Randy Staub [Nickelback, Metallica] mixing the final product and Martin Hansen [The Rasmus] producing.
Highest Towers

Trying to stand on moving ground
They're sweeping up our last brigade
That's our fate, our fate
We ignored a million signs
Now the planets are aligned
Nostradamus and the Mayans
We're climbing up the highest towers
Waiting til the fire comes
Screaming with our loudest voice
We're not lost, we're not lost!
We're climbing up the highest towers
Waiting til the final count
Screaming with our loudest voice
We're not lost, we're not lost!
Alien marbles crashing down
Trying to stand on moving ground
Prophecies are coming true
That's our fate, our fate
Surf the tao, surf away
Be aware it's judgment day
Will they remember who you are
Cause this is the end
We're climbing up the highest towers
Waiting til the fire comes
Screaming with our loudest voice
We're not lost, we're not lost!
We're climbing up the highest towers
Waiting til the final count
Screaming with our loudest voice
We're not lost, we're not lost!
We're not lost, we're not lost!
We're not lost, we're not lost!
The lyrics of Stanfour's song Highest Towers convey a sense of urgency and impending doom. The first stanza describes rocks crashing down and moving ground, a metaphor for instability and chaos. The singer acknowledges that they have ignored warning signs, perhaps referring to ecological or societal issues, which have resulted in a fatalistic destiny "sealed" by prophesies from Nostradamus and the Mayans. In the chorus, the singer defiantly declares that they are climbing up the highest towers and waiting for the fire, indicating their willingness to face whatever disaster looms. The repetition of "We're not lost" further underscores the need for resilience in the face of adversity.
The second stanza introduces the idea of "alien marbles" crashing down, implying a catastrophic impact from external forces. The line "surf the tao, surf away" invites the listener to embrace a philosophy of equanimity and acceptance, even as judgment day looms. The final line, "Will they remember who you are, cause this is the end," suggests a final existential reckoning - what will be one's legacy when faced with an ultimate cataclysm?
Overall, the song is a powerful commentary on the fragility of life and the importance of staying true to oneself in times of crisis, even if that means facing down the highest towers.
