The Camptown ladies sing this song. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
The Camptown race-track's 5 miles long. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
I come down here with my hat caved in. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
I go back home with a pocket full of tin. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
Gonna run all night. Gonna run all day.
I bet my money on the bob-tail nag, somebody bet on the bay.
The long-tail filly and the big black hoss. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
They fly a-track and they both cut across. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
The blind hoss stickin' in a big mud hole. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
Can't touch the bottom with a 10 foot pole. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
Gonna run all night. Gonna run all day.
I bet my money on the bob-tail nag, somebody bet on the bay.
Old muley cow come on the track. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
The bob-tail fling her over his back. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
Then fly along like a railroad car. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
Runnin' a race with a shootin' star. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
Gonna run all night. Gonna run all day.
I bet my money on the bob-tail nag, somebody bet on the bay.
See them flyin' on a 10 mile heat. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
'Round the race-track, then repeat. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
I win my money on the bob-tail nag. Doo-Dah! Doo-Dah!
Keep my money in an old tote bag. Oh! Doo-Dah-Day!
Gonna run all night. Gonna run all day.
I bet my money on the bob-tail nag, somebody bet on the bay.

This is the best version of De Camptown Races I've ever heard
@WOLFROY47
this was my favourite record, when i was about 7, unfortunately it broke in half, no superglue back then. it took me a week to get over it's loss. the rest of the small collection, just weren't the same after that ? so i went for long walks in the greenbelt forest instead. stuck in london now, not very mobile anymore. i really do, miss the freedom of the trees ? so thank you, to the donor of this blog, for bringing back a childhood memory
