Jo-Ann Greene writes about "Mind Control" AllMusic.com: "Stephen has continued to grow, adding new sounds and styles to his repertoire over the years. A conduit to the past and a bridge to the future, his music -- like his father's -- sounds timeless: reggae that embraces the world."
2004 he started the 27-city Bob Marley Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival tour with his four brothers and sons of Bob – Ziggy, Julian, Damian and Ky-Mani – each of whom have their own professional recording careers. The tour was the first time the brothers have officially performed together on stage.
Every February in Miami, Marley and his brothers perform at his family's annual Caribbean Festival in honour of their late father Bob Marley.

Labouring in the sun, said eh
Working ways of us working people
A better day must come
And these are working days and we are working people
Labouring in the sun, yeah, said
Working ways of us working people
There ain't no use you sit down and wait for help (no, no, no)
Get up off your rump and help yourself
There ain't no use you sit down and wait for help (no, no, no)
Get up off your rump and help yourself
And wilful ways bring work for once
And some will have to say, yeah
Oh, how I wish, I had to pray
Which ones we threw away
And these are working days and we are working people
Labouring in the sun, yeah, said eh
Working ways of us working people
A better day must come
And these are working days and we are working people
Labouring in the sun, yeah, said eh
Working ways of us working people
A better day must come
Missing part Spragga Benz
There ain't no use you sit down and wait for help (no, no, no)
Get up off your rump and help yourself
'Cause Jah help those who will simply help themselves (no, no, no) Look for rewards from no one else
And wilful ways bring work for once
And some will have to say, yeah
Oh, how I wish, I had to pray
Which ones we threw away
And these are working days and we are working people
Labouring in the sun, said eh
Working ways of us working people
A better day must come
And these are working days and we are working people
Labouring in the sun, yeah, yeah, said
Working ways of us working people
A better day must come
Missing part Spragga Benz
The lyrics to Stephen Marley's song "Working Ways" is a call for hardworking people to keep at their laborious jobs, with the hope that a better day is coming. The verses express the daily struggles that working people face under the sun, emphasizing the importance of not waiting for help but getting up and helping oneself. The chorus represents the song's central message that working people are willing to put in the effort to create a better future for themselves and others. The lyrics also warn against being lazy and not contributing to the workforce. The final verse encourages people to work hard and use their resources meaningfully.
The author of "Working Ways" believes that through hard work, significant progress will be made. It is evident in the lines that say; "And these are working days, and we are working people. Labouring in the sun, said eh. Working ways of us working people. A better day must come." There is an optimism in these lines that urges people to keep going, even when things seem tough. Moreover, the missing part sung by Spragga Benz emphasizes the idea of not waiting for help from anyone but relying on oneself and the help of the Supreme Being. The message is powerfully conveyed via the collaboration of the two artists and is essential to keep in mind as one navigates their way through life's journey.
