Do Not Disturb
Steve Aoki Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Thing got me up on it (on it)
Boy, look in my, look in my eyes
I'm coming, I'm coming
Down to the lobby
Got the key to my body
I'm with it, I'm with it tonight
I'm coming, I'm coming (yeah)
Wearing nothing but you
High on the seventeenth floor
Gimme some, gimme some more
I knew just what to do (oh yeah)
Dropping my clothes on the floor
Put that "Do Not Disturb" on the door
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
Pull me in closer
Do it over and over (oh, oh)
I'm working that overtime
I love it, I love it (love it, I love it)
Going in deeper
Marvin Gaye on the speaker (yeah, word)
I'm getting it, getting it on
I love it, I love it (Oh)
Wearing nothing but you
High on the seventeenth floor
Gimme some, gimme some more
I knew just what to do (let's go)
Dropping my clothes on the floor
Put that "Do Not Disturb" on the door
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
Do not, do not disturb
Do not, do not disturb
(Come on, come on)
The lyrics to Steve Aoki's song Do Not Disturb convey a saucy and playful tone, as they depict the singer engaging in sexual activity with their partner in a hotel room. The lyrics are oozing with sexual innuendos, but there is definitely more to the song than meets the eye. The singer makes it clear that they are fully invested in the moment and are willing to surrender to their partner's desires. They want their partner to know that they are ready to please and be pleased in return.
As the lyrics unfold, the singer describes their physical state of being, stating that they are "high" on the seventeenth floor and wearing "nothing but you." They are fully committed to the moment and are seeking more pleasure.
The chorus is very straightforward, with the singer telling everyone to "do not disturb" instead of using the more traditional phrase "please leave us alone." This phrase can be interpreted as a request for privacy or as a way of adding an exciting and forbidden element to their sexual encounter. The chorus also brings a sense of unity between the singer and their partner as they both seek to enjoy their moment together without any interruption.
Overall, the song is playful and sexy, but it's also about the singer's willingness to give their all to their partner and to enjoy their moment together in complete privacy.
