Steve Aoki Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And before you know it, the neon future will be the past
The neon future is entirely unpredictable, except for one thing
And before you know it, the neon future will be the past
The lyrics in Steve Aoki feat. J.J. Abrams's song Warp Speed talk about the concept of time and how it is constantly moving forward, and how the future is unpredictable although there is one thing that can be predicted. This one thing is that the neon future will eventually become the past. The use of the term 'neon' adds a sense of futuristic and technological theme to the lyrics. This line could be interpreted as a reminder that everything is fleeting and that time is the most valuable thing we have since it's constantly moving forward.
Furthermore, the song talks about the constant movement of time and how it's always in motion. In this sense, the lyrics reflect on how the present and future are affected by the past. The repetition of the phrase 'the neon future is entirely unpredictable' emphasises the importance of being present in the now and to embrace the unpredictable future. This line conveys a sense of anxiety about the unknown future while also urging the listener to focus on the present.
Overall, the lyrics in Steve Aoki feat. J.J. Abrams's song Warp Speed explore the concept of time and the importance of being present in the moment. It's a reminder that time is fleeting and that the future is unpredictable, but we have the power to embrace the unknown, live in the present, and make the most out of the time we have.
