Adeline Records picked up the option on their second full length, and Stickup Kid subsequently wrote Future Fire, released in 2013. Future Fire is undoubtedly the most polished and notable release to date for Stickup Kid, featuring songs that keep the band's punk core dynamics in place (listen to "The Depths of Me"), songs that scream for a late 90's revival (listen to "What's Missing"), coupled with brutally honest lyrics from a vocalist in Tony Geravesh who is starting to grow into his voice.
In the summer of 2013 Stickup Kid toured the full US with Real Friends and Candy Hearts, followed by a three week Japanese tour in September 2013. Over that summer, Stickup Kid reached an agreement with Japanese label, Ice Grills Records, to release "Future Fire" in Japan, along with a full Japanese tour. Stickup Kid embarked on the Japanese tour with great success in September of 2013. "Future Fire" is available in Japanese Tower Records.
Stickup Kid released their first LP, "The Sincerest Form Of Flattery" April 19, 2011 via Better Days Records.
Their 7" "Nothing About Me" was released June 5, 2012 via Adeline Records.
Their second LP, "Future Fire" was released on July 9, 2013 via Adeline Records.

Lighthouse
Stickup Kid Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
there is a brain that isn't happy with itself.
And I'm the only one who sees right through the clouds that form,
yeah you and your fake smile can go to hell.
Lend me your full attention, you're not meant to be the girl on the TV
that you aspire to be every time you cry yourself to sleep.
I'm keeping up on all that makes you weak.
You must not see the way I see, because you look better on your knees.
but you knocked the light out of my lighthouse.
There's no more search inside me you will have to navigate your way back.
This time I won't take back a single word I said.
You will not ruin me again. I'm X'ing out the faces in the center of this picture frame.
Again. This time I won't take back a single word I said.
You will not ruin me again.
The song "Lighthouse" by Stickup Kid explores themes of insecurity, self-doubt, and the struggle to maintain meaningful relationships. The lyrics open with the suggestion that the person being addressed is wearing a mask to hide their true feelings. The repetition of "you and your fake smile can go to hell" implies that the singer is frustrated with the façade being presented. The line "Lend me your full attention" suggests that the singer wants the person to drop the mask and be honest with themselves and others.
The chorus focuses on the idea that the person has been given a chance to make amends but has failed to do so. The metaphor of the lighthouse is used to represent the singer's sense of direction and purpose. The idea of the "knocked light" suggests that the person's actions have caused the singer to lose their way. The verse "There's no more search inside me you will have to navigate your way back" suggests that the singer feels lost and unable to help the person anymore.
The song implies that the singer has been hurt by the person's actions and is unwilling to allow it to continue. The final lines "This time I won't take back a single word I said. You will not ruin me again" suggest that the singer is setting boundaries and refusing to accept harmful behavior. The song ultimately calls for honesty, respect, and accountability.
