2.) Strings aka Tateeze was born in Chicago, Illinois in the late 70βs, where she gained her initial vocal performance experience in the church choir beginning at the age of eight. She continued to hone her vocal skills in the performing arts high school choir. At age 18, she attended an R Kelly concert in Oklahoma City where she made her way back stage and offered an unsolicited vocal audition. Shortly thereafter, she attended a private party where R Kelly was the featured guest and gave him a sample of her rapping skills. Her determination, persistence and unquestionable vocal and rap skills resulted in R Kelly signing her to her first label deal as a professional recording artist. Tateeze (then known as βStringsβ) worked in the R Kelly camp for three years where she was featured on various recordings and performed on various tours.
While in the R Kelly camp she recorded her first album with Base Records / Jive which was not released. After her three year stint with R Kelly, Strings was signed to a solo artist deal with Epic Records by Keith Sweat. During this period she had the privilege of working with artists such as Keith Sweat, Swizz Beats, Mannie Fresh, Rick James, Twista, The Hot Boys and others. She was a featured artist on the Gotham City Remix single that went to 1 on the charts. She recorded her second album while with Epic. Although the album was not released, she did execute a six week promotional tour throughout the U.S.
In 2002, Tateeze was signed to a record deal with Cash Money Records. During this period, she performed several features on all the βnamedβ Cash Money artist projects, including the 1 single βOh Yeahβ. Tateeze toured with the roster of artists as the βfirst ladyβ of Cash Money. Due to the events surrounding Hurricane Katrina, she was unable to complete here solo project. Strings describes her rap style as βuniqueβ, βhard-core streetβ, βbrutally honestβ and βmelodicβ (she sings as well).
She is also readily described by her peers as βgifted, sexy, sensual and provocativeβ. Although she doesnβt feel that she has been influenced by any one particular rap artist in the industry, she does acknowledge that the song, βLodi Dodiβ performed by Slick Rick and Dougie Fresh inspired her to rap. She also has much respect for the work of Biggie Smalls and Jay Z. Her favorite artist for the most part are from the R & B genre; consisting of artists such as Alisha Keys, Lauren Hill, Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige.
As a personal goal, Strings aspires to be βthatβ well rounded female rap artist who has the look and the talent to thoroughly entertain her audience. She is presently seeking a solo artist deal with a well established label who will embrace and support her message and presentation.

Strings Lyrics

Tell me about desires you hide inside
There is so much that we should have done
I was insecure but now I'm strong
Diving whatever it may take, I keep on trying
Diving into you.
Diving knowing it was you I keep on trying
Diving into you
Oh diving, into the blue
We are rising
Celebrate the night
It was you who showed me
How to fly
Diving, whatever it may take, I keep on trying
Diving into you
Diving, knowing it was you I keep on trying
Diving into you
Diving, whatever it may take, I keep on trying
Diving into you
Diving, knowing it was you I keep on trying
Diving into you
The lyrics to Strings' song "Diving" are a contemplative and emotional expression of the deep, introspective thoughts and feelings that arise when one is in love with someone. The song opens with an intimate invitation to share secrets: "Tell me a secret, I'll tell you mine. Tell me about desires you hide inside." The singer seems to be searching for a deeper emotional connection with their partner and exploring the boundaries of their relationship.
The next line, "there is so much that we should have done," suggests that there may be a feeling of regret or missed opportunities. The singer then declares a newfound strength, indicating that they may be ready to take risks and dive into the unknown: "I was insecure but now I'm strong."
At the core of the song is the refrain "Diving, into you," which expresses the intensity of the singer's love and desire. The repetition of the phrase creates a rhythmic, meditative effect that underscores the power of the emotion.
The bridge of the song speaks to the transformative power of love: "We are rising, celebrate the night. It was you who showed me how to fly." Here, the singer seems to be acknowledging the positive impact their relationship has had on their life - they feel a sense of upliftment and are celebrating their partner's role in that.
Overall, Strings' "Diving" is a moving exploration of love, longing, and the transformative impact of a deep emotional connection.

Wow!
I'm from Louisiana. So, I was in the Los Angeles area back in 1997 visiting my dad's family. I tuned the radio and was surprised and ecstatic to find a radio station playing techno/trance! I just knew I needed to live in a bigger city because we had nothing like that where I was. It was just pop and R&B.
The internet came out and I was able to satisfy all of my trance music needs with downloads and making CDs to listen to in the car.
Damn I should have lived in California to experience this :D
@TonyInTrance
Trance is perhaps the most emotional genre in electronic music. It can make you want to burst out cheering or start crying for no reason. It has the power to instill pure bliss into the listener... Awesome!
@shatteredxangel
I've always had a strong emotional reaction to vocal trance music. And there's a reason for that, actually. Most vocal trance, even going back to its earliest origins as Eurodance, are usually written in minor keys. Minor keys, historically, evoke sad feelings and generally make the listener emotional. In modern music, use of minor keys tends to lend itself to stronger emotions overall.
[Edit] Diving is written in Bβ Minor, in case you were wondering.

@@geplayer > party drugs exist to highten that euphoria that brain is already experiencing
Exactly! I never understood people who went to parties just to make drugs. For me it's only a spice. If I don't like the music, drugs won't save the day. It's going to be a boring party and I always regret the money I spend the nest morning lol
@crashx8576
Trance is the best style
@JazzySkyoo7
I could not have said this better. I can go right back to when I first heard this track at club space in the early 2000βs and fall into a trance π«Άπ½

I also was listening to this kind of music when I was in High School. Then again, it was 2012-15 when I attended.

My friends don't like this, but I love it! Listen to what you like, don't worry about the random opinion of others.π
