Rising
Stuck Mojo Lyrics

Rising! (4x)

Rising--we're so bright we are blinding.

Rising--somehow we keep reminding.
Rising--grafted from a hybrid breed.
Survivalist unique and hard as concrete

I'm not going to let you let me die.

So damn easy when you're living a lie.

Haven't you heard cream rises to the top.

I hope you know we ain't never gonna stop.
Some cock blocking, others coping much love.

To the fans 'cause we're still rocking.

Haven't you heard cream rises to the top.
I hope you know we ain't never gonna stop.

Some cock blocking, others coping much love.

To the fans 'cause we're still rocking!

Rising! (4x)

Rising--all I see are Kinko's bands.
Rising--nothing new just recycling the fans.

Rising--skip to the loop in cement shoes.

Breaking free up out of this cesspool.

Rising! (4x)

It doesn't matter to me anymore who you think I am.

I am all I can be.

It doesn't matter to me anymore who you think I am.

I am all I can be.

And I'm rising.

And I'm rising.

And I'm rising.

And I'm rising.

Overall Meaning

The song "Rising" by Stuck Mojo is an anthem for the band's perseverance and rebellious spirit. It starts off with an intense repetition of the word "Rising" four times, setting the tone for the rest of the song. In the first verse, the band describes themselves as blindingly bright, reminding listeners of their unique style and sound. They also mention being grafted from a hybrid breed, suggesting that they are a mix of different genres and influences. The chorus is a powerful statement about never giving up, with the line "I'm not going to let you let me die" implying that they are determined to succeed no matter what obstacles come their way. The band also takes a jab at other bands in the scene, suggesting that they are just recycling old ideas and not doing anything new.

In the second verse, the band calls out bands that they see as subpar, referring to them as "Kinko's bands". They also use the metaphor of breaking free from cement shoes to describe their own rise in the music industry. The chorus is repeated again, emphasizing the message that cream rises to the top and they will never stop. The bridge is a statement of empowerment, declaring that it doesn't matter what others think of them, they are rising and will continue to do so.

Overall, the lyrics to "Rising" are an expression of Stuck Mojo's defiance and belief in their own ability to succeed. They are proud of their unique sound and not afraid to call out other bands who they feel are not up to par. The chorus is a mantra for perseverance and never giving up, sending a message of hope and strength to their fans.

Actually, I'm glad that Stuck Mojo still is an underground act. Sure it would be cool to see them making money and getting recognized but it has more value for not being mainstream. It's really hard to explain but maybe you'll get what I'm trying to say here.

I agree. If they had of signed to a major label, they probably would've made them sound like Limp Bizkit or RATM.
