Sublime with Rome performed their first gig together in February 2009 near Gaugh's home in Nevada, followed by an appearance at Cypress Hill's Smokeout Festival in San Bernadino that October. On April 20, 2010, the band embarked on their first-ever US tour with dates going into that fall. After positive reaction on the road, Sublime with Rome released a debut album on Fueled By Ramen records in July 2011.
In December 2011, Bud Gaugh revealed in an interview that he would be leaving Sublime With Rome and KROQ's Accoustic Christmas would be his last show. He saying he wanted to go home and spend more time with his family. He later went on to say "It was really good for the first few months, after that, it just felt wrong. Not playing the songs but playing them with the name Sublime, without Brad." When asked if he saw the band reuniting in the future Gaugh replied "No, I am done with SWR. I would be into playing music with Eric Wilson, however." He was replaced by Josh Freese.

Too much pleasure is pain
My girl spites me in vain
All I do is complain
She needs something to change
Need to take off the e-e-edge
So fuck it all tonight
And don′t tell me to shut up
And you don't got shit to say
I want you out of my head
I want you out of my bedroom tonight (bedroom)
There′s no way I could save you (save you)
'Cause I need to be saved too
I'm no good at goodbyes
We′re both actin′ insane
But too stubborn to change
Now I'm drinkin′ again
80 proof in my veins
And my fingertips stained
Looking over the e-e-edge
Don't fuck with me tonight
Say you needed this heart
Then you got it (got it)
Turns out that it wasn′t what you wanted (wanted)
And we wouldn't let it go and we lost it
Now I′m a goner
I want you out of my head (head)
I want you out of my bedroom tonight (bedroom)
There's no way I could save you (save you)
'Cause I need to be saved too (saved too)
I′m no good at goodbyes
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I want you out of my head
I want you out of my bedroom tonight (bedroom)
There′s no way I could save you (save you)
'Cause I need to be saved too
I′m no good at goodbyes
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I'm no good at goodbyes
The lyrics to Sublime with Rome's song "Goodbyes" delve into the tumultuous emotions experienced in a failing romantic relationship. The singer, possibly Rome Ramirez, expresses his shared sentiment with Kurt, who may refer to the late musician Kurt Cobain. They both understand the concept that too much pleasure eventually leads to pain. The singer's girlfriend deliberately hurts him out of spite, and he finds himself constantly complaining about their relationship.
Feeling the need for change, the singer wants to let go and shed the emotional burden. He expresses frustration with his girlfriend, who talks excessively without anything meaningful to say, yet expects him to remain silent. He wants her out of his thoughts and his bedroom, acknowledging that he cannot save her from their broken relationship because he needs saving too.
The second verse continues the theme of emotional instability within the relationship, with both parties acting irrationally but being stubborn about making necessary changes. The singer turns to alcohol to numb his pain, drinking 80 proof alcohol that courses through his veins. He acknowledges the stains on his fingertips, a metaphorical representation of the damage caused by their toxic dynamic. The singer attests that messing with him tonight would not end well, highlighting his emotional vulnerability.
In the chorus, the singer reiterates his desire to remove thoughts of his girlfriend from his mind and bedroom. He admits that he cannot save her, as he also needs salvation. Goodbyes are not his strong suit, signifying his difficulty in letting go of the relationship.
In the final repetition of the chorus, the singer bids a final goodbye, emphasizing his inability to handle partings effectively. The overall theme of the song revolves around the complexities of a troubled relationship, the need for change, and the struggle to say goodbye.

INCREDIBLE, And Rome even added a hint of the SANTERIA solo part which was very touching. Rome you are doing great things keeping the band alive and the Sublime fans coming together to celebrate what Bradley and the gang originally started. Bless you my brother.
