Future
Superstar DJ Keoki Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Child take refuge in me
For I will not let you down
Brother, brother, brother
I will be your guide through the valley of darkness
There's no need to escalate
With my philosophy
You can do, you can be, you can see all
War is not the answer
I see tomorrow glistening in the sunshine
It's where I'm at
(Future) only love can conquer hate
(Future) praise the Lord

I've seen the future

@Kunimitsu 1976 Everything in NYC began dying shortly after Giuliani took office. But, by that time, it became less about the music and more about the drugs which caused me to nope out of it all together.

If you were to check out the movie, Kids, which came out in 1995, that will give you the best understanding how everything was unfolding (degenerating) in NYC at that time, and why it died.

Also, if you were to check out the movie, Bad Lieutenant, you'll find a scene from the Limelight when it was at its peak.

Still, at its height, those nights at the Limelight along with Frankie Bones STORM raves, NASA at the Shelter, going to Liquid Sky and buying mix tapes by DJ DB remain among the best memories of my life and I am happy to have experienced them.

In the near future I will be posting mix tapes from that era, to keep the memory going.

The best years of my life! The rave scene, ecstasy, dancing all night with no worries. Getting in touch with my inner psyche... Took me to places I can’t even describe!! The Beethoven of techno. Techno music will never get better than this. Ever. My church. Takes me to another state of consciousness.. Yes, even after all these years. Thank you Keoki. 👽💫 Come with me on this journey….. 🌈🧚‍♀️✨☄️⚡️💥

@KarmaofDove

I feel the same exact way.

For me, nothing compares to those nights at Disco 2000 back in the day. I feel lucky to have experienced the music this way, like you have. Thanks for sharing!

I partied with him and his boyfriend in Orlando. We were partying in Orlando gearing up for his show. We had a knock at the adjacent door in between suites, by Buddy answers it and it's DJ Keoki partying next room over.

Saw him live years ago. People were throwing shirts at him to autograph while he was spinning, he would sign them and throw them back in the crowd, I had a shirt with a character that look like him, when I threw mine up to get signed he held it up in front of everyone and everyone cheered, and then he kept it. Keoki you owe me a shirt.

This was the pinnacle project for Keoki it was all downhill from here, however this remains in the top 10 EDM albums ever recorded.
