After taking a brief recording hiatus in the mid-1990s to start a family with her husband, songwriter Doug Crider, Bogguss returned to the country music scene to find that her charting power had already faded. Although she last appeared on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart in 1999, Bogguss continues to record and perform around the country to a loyal following.
Her most recent recordings have ventured into swing and jazz variations of country. These albums really showcase the tremendous talent in her voice. Suzy is a true singer, and her voice has so much versatility.
In 2014, Suzy added an album of Merle Haggard songs entitled "Lucky". The country & western flavor dominates this album, unlike some of her other recent work. To promote this new album, Suzy has embarked on a nationwide tour.

All by myself
No one to walk with
But I'm happy on the shelf
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
I know for certain
I'm through with flirtin'
It's just you I'm thinkin' of
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
Like Jack Horner
In the corner
Don't go nowhere
What do I care?
Your kisses are worth waitin' for
Believe me
I don't stay out late
Don't care to go
I'm home about eight
Just me and my radio
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
Like Jack Horner
In the corner
Don't go nowhere
What do I care?
Your kisses are worth waitin' for
Believe me
I don't stay out late
Don't care to go
I'm home about eight
Just me and my radio
Ain't misbehavin'
I'm savin' my love for you
The song "Ain't Misbehavin'" by Suzy Boguss, originally written by Fats Waller in 1929, speaks to the idea of being content with one's own company as opposed to being in a relationship with someone who may not be worthy of your affections. The first verse talks about being alone and happy that way, saving love for someone who is deserving. The second verse asserts that the one she loves is the only one she's thinking of, and she's done with flirting.
The bridge of the song likens the singer to Jack Horner, sitting in the corner waiting for their love interest, and not caring about anything else but their kisses. The final verse describes the singer as being content with a simple life, not needing to go out and party, but instead preferring to stay at home with their radio, while still saving their love for the right person.
The lyrics overall speak to the idea of self-love and waiting for the right person to come along before committing to a relationship. It also touches on the idea of valuing oneself above others who may not deserve your love, and being content with a simple, solitary life until the right person comes along.

Amazing! Suzy you are at least 5 times more awesome than I realized at playing and singing, because that is how many times in a row I listened to this old familiar song. The song title not being in the video title made it like meeting an old freind unexpectedly. Thanks!
