Lady
Syd Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

It's been a month or two since she left
It couldn't be a year by now or it could
It's funny how time passed so slowly
Oh man I really wish it would

Get back to the happier days
It was always better I remember
She could even warm December

Maybe you're right I should get out some more
Maybe, yeah fine, I will unlock the door
Let in the light and get up off the floor
It seems like I lose, I let the lady win

I always thought I'd go down in flames son
I never thought I'd flicker, fade and burn
It's funny how time passed so slowly
Oh man I got so much to learn like

Back in the happier days
It was always better I remember
She could even warm December

Maybe you're right I should get out some more
Maybe, yeah fine, I will unlock the door
Let in the light and get up off the floor
It seems like I lose, I let the lady win

It was only right to do
Please don't salt the wound
It killed me inside to watch her try
But I had to do it, she was out of her mind

It seems like I lose, I let the lady
Maybe you're right I should get out some more
Maybe, yeah fine, I will unlock the door
Let in the light and get up off the floor
It seems like I lose, I let the lady win

The lady wins, man I let the lady win
The lady wins, man I let the lady win

Check out Sheath using the link in the description! They're very good for the man-pickle.

Since filming this - I've been asked on national TV to discuss it and other articles have popped up. I'm still at a loss why this is even news, but like I said at the end of this video - if this somehow starts a conversation about obesity and how we attempt to justify and excuse it, then I'm happy for that. Nobody should have to sit through this type of situation. And American Airlines - you call me any time to negotiate my reparations. ;D

I think regardless of viewpoints on this, fundamentally, if you pay for a seat on an airline, you should be entitled to the surface area of that seat. No "overflow" from other passengers.

Tyler Bergen

Yep, it's gross as hell when they overflow under and over like a huge piece of gross taffy. It's disgusting and usually it's sweaty as well. Whenever I see someone that is walking around like it's okay to be that way, I make sure to pat my stomach...which I've worked hard to have flat and everytime I feel that a tear is going down their cheek I can't see (because it's absorbed in the lard) lol

I agree ..and as an overweight person , I am acutely aware of my fellow passengers and make sure that is stay on my side of my armrest and my seat space. I am nowhere near the weight of Sydney’s seat partners , but I am still aware that I pose a possible problem for their comfort . I have recently lost 10kgs and it has made a huge difference to travelling more comfortably

I understand her situation, but the idea of being able to use the entire seat without touching another human being is absurd. People have been sharing arm rests basically since airliners came out. I personally have never had to sit between two very fat people and pray to God that I never will, but if I were forced to sit like this I would definitely complain directly to the staff and have them take a picture of it. I don't care if I get crucified on Twitter or whatever, Airlines need to give more do consideration to body size since people like this do actually exist.
