The first single under the System F alias was "Out Of The Blue". This track was released in March 1999 on Tsunami, a label of Dutch record company Purple Eye. Ferry had already finished this track in 1998. Because he released some other tracks on Tsunami, he already had contact with Maykel Piron. After listening to the track, Maykel immediately signed the track.
Before the official release, some limited one-sided promo vinyls were send to a few DJs. The only information on this vinyl was a white label with a stamped mobile number and the text "Out of the Blue". Nick Warren (from Way Out West) and Pete Tong, the owner of Essential recordings, both received the vinyl. After listening, Nick Warren phoned Hooj Choons and they made an offer. Pete Tong of Essential recordings also made an offer. At some point Pete Tong said that he was going to Amsterdam and that Ferry and his manager should come to the airport to close the deal there. The deal was closed at Schiphol Airport, and some time later Pete flew back to the UK. "Out Of The Blue" was released worldwide on several labels.
A year later, Ferry released the follow up, Cry. This track was produced together with Robert Smit. It was a vocal track. The vocals were done by Saskia Lie-Atjam. "Cry" was released in February 2000 on the Tsunami Label.
Later in 2000 the first System F album was released. On November 2000 the album Out Of The Blue was released on the Tsunami label. Ferry worked with some artists for the album, like Marc Almond and Armin van Buuren. With Marc he did Soul on Soul and with Armin he made Exhale. Marc Almond is known from Soft Cell.
In 2001 Ferry made under the system f alias the dance valley theme.
Also the Out the Blue album was re-released that year and it contained now the dance valley theme.
Tracks like Solstice, Needlejuice, Soul on Soul and Exhale were all released on a single. In 2003 the track Spaceman was released on Tsunami Special Blend. Ferry released also the second System F album Together, but this was only for the japanese market. It was released on Avex trax. There was no european release, but some shops imported it. In this year ferry made a second track together with Armin van Buuren; From The Heart. This track was released on Armind and appeared also on armin's album 76. The last System F track was Ignition, Sequence, Start. First it was released on Avex Trax in 2003 and later on Tsunami in 2004.
Ferry made also some remixes under the system f alias. He made a remix for Yoji Biomehanika's track A Theme From Bangingglobe under the system f alias. There are also system f remixes from the tracks Connected and Kanariya from japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki.
Today Ferry no longer produces under the alias system f. Since 2003, after the second system f album, he decided to quit with all his aliasses (except gouryella, which he keeping) He produce now under his own name. He also left Tsunami in 2005 to start his own record company, Flashover Recordings. Maykel Piron, his former manager, has moved to armada.

It's ver seldom that tears running out of my eyes while listening to music. But this track had absolutely the potential to do so! Really great remastered and remixed version of a almost ten years old track made by a genius! Really love it!!!
@pablomartinez8601
Dear lord i had forgotten for a while in my life how great uplifting trance is 😭
@ecopsher
Me too man. But then I rediscover it and it warms my heart :)
@DJJonPattrsn22
They just down make them (records/tracks) like this anymore...

This song is what got me into Trance, I remember hearing another version of this on Wild 94.9 back in 2001 as a sophomore in HS and I've been listening to it since!
It's certainly different now with all of these "sub genres" such as EDM, trap, dubstep, and etc.
But this is all very nostalgic to me, I kinda wish I can go back to those times to do everything again. Not many can relate, it was over 10 years ago. All I can say is if you missed that time, then you missed something really special.
@bishop_98
I got a few CD's around the time I graduated HS in '01 and this song was on 1 of them. It's the only one that stood out. Get Club Space Trancemissions as well.
I agree; takes me back to a time where I was learning about myself. Everytime I heard these songs, it was the closest thing to a religious experience I'll ever have.

I couldn't agree more with you here, man. One of my best buddies got me into the whole dance scene back in 2005. Up until that year, I never knew what Trance was, nor did I ever imagine I'd fall in love with electronic music... We were hanging out one day and he put on "As The Rush Comes" (Which oddly enough, he had on vinyl then) and I remember just falling in love to such an amazing lyrical melody --- Later on that year, for my birthday he surprised me with Ferry Corsten tickets (mind, I had never ever been to a club yet, let alone had any idea who this Ferry person was) to Washington, DC --- We live on the East Coast, but it sounded fun and spontaneous so I kindly accepted. So the two us flew down to DC for the weekend, and all I gotta say is I have never had as much fun in my life as I did during the 4 hour set which Ferry put on, and while I'm not a big fan of drugs, I got to experience some amazing MDMA which just topped off the night. (I was already having the time of my life, the ecstasy part was purely incidental, hahah) ----- So yeah, without turning this already long-ass rant into an even BIGGER novel, "Out of the Blue" was the very last song Ferry threw at us that night, so everytime I hear it, it brings me back to so many good feelings and emotions which I don't I could compare to any other amazing experience I've had before. 2005-2010 was some of the best years of clubbing for me, as I was in my early 20's... now I'm 32, and while I'm not ashamed in saying I've outgrown the club scene, I still listen to all the classics, and have all the great memories to fall back on!!

+EDMelodic .... Sounds like you have some prejudices, man...
For me it was 1999 when i left home for first time and went to London to practice English and to have and experience. I was 21 and I was on my own for first time in my life. "Cool Eddy's" was the club and Mitsubishi was the extasy, and uplifting & progressive trance was the music, "Out of the blue" , "Cream" Paul van Dyc, "Push" Universal Nation... were my fav's. My friends were the staff from the Limelight Club which was a church before. I remember to fly back home after a 4 days weekend non sleep goodbye London experience... Then, once at home, i want to go back to London, but my dad recommend me to go somewhere else, like for example Ibiza (it was May '99). OK, Thanks dad for your tip!!! lol I went to Ibiza for first time in 99, just before all that shit about Ibiza, electronic music, drugs, and DJ's, explodes in my face in this paradise island. I was there. Ibiza 1999, best summer of my life!
@lehemees123
I still can't understand how it's possible to make the greatest track ever even better ... no words
@GreaseLightning02
nice production on this one. brings out of the blue faithfully into 2010 and the sound of trance over a decade after it was first released. can't wait to hear the stoneface and terminal take on it. :)
