T-Rock immediately moved to Memphis and began recording. His clever lyricism and tongue-twisting style immediately endeared T-Rock to fans all over the south. Widely regarded as one of the best lyricists to ever grace a Three 6 Mafia track, his appearances were partly responsible for the platinum successes of two albums and the sale of hundreds of thousands of other albums.
After a series of disagreements between he and his label, T-Rock decided to leave the Hypnotized Minds imprint he was signed to and embark on an independent career. Hooking up with his hometown crew Area 51, T-Rock went on to release several underground classics that have sold over 100,000 copies with barely any promotion or radio play. T-Rock has worked with a multitude of artists that include Too Short, Pastor Troy, Lil' Scrappy, Bo Hagon, Gangsta Boo, Lil Weavah, Max Minelli,Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Gangsta Pat, Al Kapone, Young Buck, Macboney & AK (of P$C) and Bizzy Bone just to name a few major names.
2006 was a great year for T-Rock and his fans as it saw the release of 'The Kush'. The album features production from M.A.J. of Xplosive Productions, DJ Cree, and T-Rock himself. Guest appearances include Max Minelli, P. Dukes of Countree Noise, and his Area 51 family. "This will be my most complete album to date," states the fiery emcee, "I've grown a lot and I believe its gonna show on this album." To say the south is waiting for this release would be an understatement.
Make It Happen

You think you know what you got
Until it changes
And life will take you high and low
You gotta learn how to walk
And then which way to go
When you're lost
Every step you take
Has it's cause
After you clear your eyes
You'll see the light
Somewhere in the darkness
After the rain has gone
You'll feel the sun comes
And though it seems your sorrow never ends
Someday its gonna make sense
Tears you shed are all the same
When you laughed 'till you cried
Or broken down in pain
All the hours you have spent in the past
Worrying about
A thing that didn't last
Everything you saw
Played a part
In everything you are
In your heart
After you clear your eyes
You'll see the light
Somewhere in the darkness
After the rain has gone
You'll feel the sun comes
And though it seems your sorrow never ends
Someday its gonna make sense
The lyrics to T-Rock's song "Make It Happen" convey a deep understanding of the ups and downs of life. The first verse acknowledges the unpredictable nature of life, where one may believe they have a firm grasp on their circumstances, only for everything to suddenly change. This highlights the need to adapt and navigate the highs and lows that come along.
The chorus emphasizes the importance of learning how to walk through life and determining which paths to take. It suggests that every choice made while feeling lost and every step taken has a purpose and consequence. This implies that even during uncertain times, every decision and action holds significance and potential impact.
The second verse delves into the notion that life is a mixture of joy and pain. It states that tears shed, whether from laughter or heartbreak, are all part of the human experience. It also addresses the tendency to dwell on moments that didn't last, emphasizing the futility of worrying about temporary circumstances that fade away.
The bridge provides a glimmer of hope, suggesting that clarity will eventually come after enduring difficult times. It speaks of finding light in the darkness and feeling the warmth of the sun after the rain has subsided. The lyrics acknowledge that sorrow may seem endless, but in due time, it will begin to make sense, indicating that there is a purpose and a bigger picture to be understood.
Overall, T-Rock's "Make It Happen" is a reflective song that encourages resilience and finding meaning in life's challenges. It invites listeners to embrace the ebb and flow of existence, reminding them that clarity, understanding, and resolution will ultimately come.

This motherfucker is my hero man...he makes me feel like he's the big brother I never met and/or never had...and it doesn't matter that we've never met...a real fucking artist is supposed to get to know u through their music...I think that's the whole point of making music... getting to know your listener without meeting them in the flesh
