T-Rock immediately moved to Memphis and began recording. His clever lyricism and tongue-twisting style immediately endeared T-Rock to fans all over the south. Widely regarded as one of the best lyricists to ever grace a Three 6 Mafia track, his appearances were partly responsible for the platinum successes of two albums and the sale of hundreds of thousands of other albums.
After a series of disagreements between he and his label, T-Rock decided to leave the Hypnotized Minds imprint he was signed to and embark on an independent career. Hooking up with his hometown crew Area 51, T-Rock went on to release several underground classics that have sold over 100,000 copies with barely any promotion or radio play. T-Rock has worked with a multitude of artists that include Too Short, Pastor Troy, Lil' Scrappy, Bo Hagon, Gangsta Boo, Lil Weavah, Max Minelli,Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Gangsta Pat, Al Kapone, Young Buck, Macboney & AK (of P$C) and Bizzy Bone just to name a few major names.
2006 was a great year for T-Rock and his fans as it saw the release of 'The Kush'. The album features production from M.A.J. of Xplosive Productions, DJ Cree, and T-Rock himself. Guest appearances include Max Minelli, P. Dukes of Countree Noise, and his Area 51 family. "This will be my most complete album to date," states the fiery emcee, "I've grown a lot and I believe its gonna show on this album." To say the south is waiting for this release would be an understatement.

You don't know who to run from
Nowhere to go, don't wanna go, nowhere to go
No road is left to run on
I was born, I was born with horns
Demons couldn't shake me up
Bring it on, bring it on, bring it on
Won't give up the fight
Make it out alive
Set this world on fire now
Whoa (whoa), whoa (whoa)
Don't give up, it's gonna be alright
'Cause I won't let you burn out
Whoa (whoa), whoa (whoa)
We gotta make it out alive
Tonight, tonight, tonight
I'm screaming on the inside, I was
Trying to hide, trying to hide, trying to hide
Now I'm ready for this ride
Gotta face, gotta face the unknown
It's the only way to live
I'm ready to go, ready to go, ready to go
Somewhere I've never been
Won't give up the fight
Make it out alive
Set this world on fire now
Whoa (whoa), whoa (whoa)
Don't give up, it's gonna be alright
'Cause I won't let you burn out
Whoa (whoa), whoa (whoa)
We gotta make it out alive
Make it out alive
Set this world on fire now
Whoa (whoa), whoa (whoa)
Don't give up, it's gonna be alright
'Cause I won't let you burn out
Whoa (whoa), whoa (whoa)
We gotta make it out alive
Whoa (oh, yeah), whoa (oh, yeah)
We gotta make it out alive
Whoa (oh, yeah), whoa (oh, yeah)
We gotta make it out alive
In T-Rock's song "Thug It Out," the lyrics convey a powerful message of resilience and determination in the face of adversity. The repeated phrase "run away" suggests a desire to escape from a situation or environment that is causing distress. However, the singer acknowledges that there is nowhere to run or hide, indicating a sense of feeling trapped or cornered.
The lines "I was born with horns, demons couldn't shake me up" imply that the singer has been through difficult experiences and challenges, but they have emerged stronger and unshaken. They are prepared to face whatever comes their way, as signified by the phrase "bring it on." The determination to continue fighting and not give up is emphasized throughout the song.
The chorus reinforces the theme of resilience, with the declaration "Won't give up the fight" echoing the singer's refusal to surrender. They express the desire to "make it out alive" and "set this world on fire," symbolizing a need for change and a burning passion to overcome obstacles. The overall message is one of hope and encouragement, assuring listeners that things will be alright as long as they don't let themselves burn out, and that together, they can make it out alive.
