A Civilized Discoteque

Contando con igualdad
¿derecho de admisión?
Y estamos de pie.
A civilized discoteque
Es a civilized discoteque.
Que hoy nos separa.
La vida comiendo
Sepáranos hoy.
De aquéllos felices
Ratones de odio, sin fe.
Imagen absurda
Decencia inconclusa.
Iguales seres
Modales imberbes.
Centrada textura
Dispar vestidura.
Rajando el ambiente
Ambiente de tules.
In TK's song A Civilized Discoteque, the lyrics talk about living in freedom and counting on equality. The use of Spanish words in the beginning of the song suggests a message of diversity and inclusivity. The line "derecho de admisión?" can be translated into English as "the right of admission?" which is a phrase commonly used in nightclubs in Spain to exclude people from entering based on their appearance or behavior. However, the next line "y estamos de pie" (and we are standing) suggests defiance against such discriminatory practices.
The main chorus of the song emphasizes the concept of a "civilized discoteque" which can be interpreted as a space where people come together in mutual respect and civility. This vision of a nightclub as a place of connection and communication rather than exclusion and judgment is also conveyed in the second verse when it says "eating life that separates us today".
The following lines criticize those who are motivated by hate and do not have faith in love and unity. The words "imagen absurda" (absurd image) and "decencia inconclusa" (inconclusive decency) suggest that these people's ideas are flawed and incomplete. The final lines talk about the contrast between the textured and diverse community of the nightclub and the restrictive environment of prejudice and censorship.
Overall, TK's song A Civilized Discoteque promotes a message of freedom, inclusivity, and celebration of diversity.
