Moments
TWON Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Send yourself far away
We're all here
Take some time, to think about yourself
And maybe why you're no good
We're all here
In these lyrics from TWON's song "Moments", the persona seems to be expressing confusion and concern over why someone has chosen to isolate themselves from their friends. The opening line "Why'd you stay, you're running from your friends" suggests that the individual in question has distanced themselves from their social circle for reasons that are not entirely clear to the persona. This creates a sense of disconnection and perhaps even betrayal, as the persona wonders why the person has chosen to leave when they are needed and supported by their friends.
The next line "Send yourself far away, we're all here" serves as a reassurance from the persona to the individual, emphasizing that despite their physical distance or emotional detachment, their friends are still present and ready to offer support. It conveys a sense of longing for the person to return and reconnect with their loved ones, highlighting the importance of human connection and the idea that one is never truly alone, even when they feel isolated.
The following lines "Take some time, to think about yourself, and maybe why you're no good, we're all here" delve deeper into the persona's concern for the individual's well-being. By encouraging the person to reflect on themselves and understand the reasons behind their actions, the persona shows a level of empathy and understanding. The mention of self-reflection and questioning one's worth may suggest that the persona is aware of the struggles and insecurities that the individual may be facing, and they want to offer their support and assistance in navigating through these challenges.
Overall, these lyrics from TWON's song "Moments" capture a sense of emotional vulnerability, friendship, and the complexities of human relationships. The persona's plea for the individual to come back and engage with their friends, as well as their willingness to offer understanding and support, reflect the common themes of loyalty, concern, and unconditional love that are often present in close friendships. The lyrics invite listeners to contemplate the importance of connection, communication, and self-reflection in fostering healthy and meaningful relationships with others.

Agreed. I'm watching them on Prime whilst I am working away from where I have the boxed set. I've seen the entire set twice before now up to Se3 for the 3rd time. It is hilarious still, all the cast are brilliant. 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, he was a sweet little guy but as he aged I suppose the writers were attempting to show viewers what will happen to a child with parents like Judith & Alan and a grandmother like Evelyn...I just wish he could have been portrayed as more academically sound...I do see why Angus chose to relinquish that role.
