Konning Hans
TYR Lyrics

Han lader de lønnebrev skrive
Sender han dem til nørrejylland
Erik Ottesøn lover at give
Der kommer aldrig saa rig en dronning til Dannemark
Du bede godt for de fattige enker
Du bede godt for de fattige fanger
Lad dem i tårnet ej dø
The opening lines of Týr's song Konning Hans take us straight into the heart of Copenhagen where the king is comfortably seated, writing out paychecks and sending them away to his loyal subjects in the northern Jutland region. As he does so, the king also sends out promises of recognition and reward to a certain Erik Ottesøn, who is expected to fulfill certain services in return. The repeated phrase, "Der kommer aldrig så rig en dronning til Danmark" translates to "There will never come as rich a queen to Denmark", suggesting that the king is content with his power and wealth, and there is little chance of anyone becoming richer or more powerful than him.
In the next verse, the song takes a turn toward compassion and benevolence as the king is urged to pray for the poor widows and orphans who are left to fend for themselves, as well as the prisoners who may be languishing in jail. The final verse brings in the element of social justice as the king is advised not to disdain or mistreat the poor farmer, but rather to appeal to his own father for assistance in case he himself is found lacking in gold or silver.
Overall, Týr's Konning Hans is a complex and thought-provoking song that encourages the listener to consider the different facets of power and wealth, and how they can be used to benefit or harm others. It also touches upon themes of justice, compassion, and humility, all of which are timeless and universal.

Faroese language
Faroese[4] /ˌfɛəroʊˈiːz/ or /-ˈiːs/ (føroyskt, pronounced [ˈføːɹɪst], Danish færøsk pronounced [ˈfɛɐ̯ˌøːˀsɡ̊]) is a North Germanic language spoken as a first language by about 66,000 people, 45,000 of whom reside on the Faroe Islands and 21,000 in other areas, mainly Denmark. It is one of five languages descended from Old West Norse spoken in the Middle Ages, the others being Norwegian, Icelandic, and the extinct Norn and Greenlandic Norse. Faroese and Icelandic, its closest extant relative, are not mutually intelligible in speech, but the written languages resemble each other quite closely, largely owing to Faroese's etymological orthography
