The group sings in a contemporary style, integrating R&B and jazz influences into their devotional songs and has 10 Grammy wins, 10 Dove Awards, one Soul Train Award and two NAACP Image Award nominations. They won Grammy Awards in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1995, 1998, and 2003 and have collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Don Henley, Ray Charles, Queen Latifah, Joe Sample, Quincy Jones, Marcus Miller and Gordon Goodwin.
In 1980, Claude McKnight formed an a cappella quartet, The Gentlemen's Estate Quartet, at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, a Seventh-Day Adventist College, where he was a freshman. He auditioned fellow students for the hobby group. The Gentlemen were rehearsing in a campus bathroom (later said to be in Peterson Hall), getting ready for a performance, when Mark Kibble walked by and heard them singing. He joined the harmonizing, adding a fifth part, and ended up singing with them onstage that very night.[1] Mark later invited Mervyn Warren to join the group. The group performed under the moniker "Alliance".
The group performed in local churches and on campus over the next years, with members changing due to college's inevitable comings and goings. In 1985, the lower half of the group (bass, baritone, and second tenor) left upon graduating. At that time, Alvin Chea, Cedric Dent, and David Thomas joined.
The group was signed to Warner Brothers in 1987, and quickly changed its name to "Take 6" after a name search revealed that "Alliance" was already being used. Their eponymous debut album, released in 1988, won them two Grammy Awards and resulted in top ten appearances on both the Billboard Contemporary Jazz and Contemporary Christian Charts. Take 6's swinging, harmony-rich gospel sound attracted a flurry of attention, and the group went on to record or appear with a number of luminaries, including Quincy Jones, Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder.
In 1991, after the release of their second album, So Much 2 Say, Mervyn Warren left the group to pursue a career as a producer. Joey Kibble, Mark's younger brother, was invited to round out the vocal lineup. The group added instrumentation to their purely a cappella sound beginning with the record He Is Christmas; Join The Band and Brothers continued their streak of success, and Take 6 amassed a total of seven Grammys and eight Dove awards, as well as topping the Downbeat Magazine's Reader's and Critic's poll for seven years' consecutively.
Take 6's 1998 release, So Cool, brought the group back to its a cappella origins.
In 2006 the group launched Take 6 Records and the 2006 release Feels Good was released on that label.
The group currently lists Nashville, Tennessee as its home.[2] All members grew up Seventh-Day Adventist.[

You thought it would be easy
Something like a shopping spree
But living life in limbo
Created your catastrophe
Now you say you're sorry
But it's not over yet
But if you want me to forgive you
I'll be willing to forget
It ever happened
Erase it from my mind
I gave my life to save you
That's the plan that I designed
Because I L-O-V-E you
I L-O-V-E you
Put your trust in me
'Cause I L-O-V-E Y-O-U
Lately you've been thinkin'
That you're the captain of the sea
But when your ship was sinkin'
Your transportation back was me
(Do you remember?)
Now you have concluded
That you need someone to navigate
Which leads me to the question
"When can we affiliate?"
I know survival
Is not an easy task
I've always been the answer
But I thought you'd never ask
You see I L-O-V-E you
I L-O-V-E you
Put your trust in me
'Cause I L-O-V-E Y-O-U
I L-O-V-E you
I L-O-V-E you
Put your trust in me
'Cause I L-O-V-E Y-O-U
I'm more than able
Like a beacon in the night
To see that you don't ever lose your way
Because your defense is defective
Even at its best
But my efforts will never fail because
(G, H) I (J, K)
L-o-v-e U
I L-O-V-E U
Put your trust in me
'Cause I L-O-V-E Y-O-U
I L-O-V-E you
I L-O-V-E you
Put your trust in me
'Cause I L-O-V-E Y-O-U
Love is patient
Love is kind
Love is no envy
Love is not pride
Love behaves
Love is not selfish
Or easily provoked
Love is not evil
Love shares truth
Instead of spreading lies
Love bears all
Love believes all
Love endures all
Love is home for all
Love never fails
I L-O-V-E U
Put your trust in me
'Cause I love you
Put your trust in me, I
'Cause I ('cause I, 'cause I) love you
Put your trust in me
'Cause I love you
Put your trust in me
Just because
Trust in me
'Cause I love
Put your trust in me
'Cause I love you
The song "I L-O-V-E U" by Take 6 talks about forgiveness and trust. The first verse talks about how the person asking for forgiveness may have thought that it would be easy to fix what went wrong, but it's not that simple. The singer says that they are willing to forgive, but they can't forget what happened unless the other person truly takes responsibility for their actions. The chorus emphasizes the singer's love for the other person and their willingness to help them, and the second verse talks about how the other person needs someone to guide them through difficult times, and they believe that they are the answer. The bridge emphasizes the qualities of love, and the song ends with the singer again encouraging the other person to trust in them and their love.

You apologize
And that's good
It's a positive step
But it's not over yet
There's still work to be done
But if you want me to forgive you
If you ask for forgiveness
I'll be willing to forget
I'm willing to let go of the past
It ever happened
Act like it never occurred
Erase it from my mind
Forget it completely
I gave my life to save you
I sacrificed for you
That's the plan that I designed
I came up with that idea
Because I L-O-V-E you

@DonVal86 btw I don't know if you're kidding, but did you say Jacob didn't get his grammys for sung productions?
Grammy 1 - Flintstones: 90% Accapella (Accapella = Singing, and fucking well)
Grammy 2 - You and I: Accapella
Grammy 3 - All Night Long: Singing + Instrumentals (~50% Singing)
Grammy 4 - Moon River: Are you kidding?????? Singing but in fucking tune with microtones as well.
Grammy 5 - He won't hold you: Singing + Instrumentals
If you seriously believed that he didn't get any grammys for singing, then you have to be the biggest idiot I've ever seen. Like 80% of all his music is atleast 90% singing.

Bruh even if there is 12, most of would IDK be doing their jobs? And since it is a tv show some might not find it appropriate to clap.
