Christian Hartselle During my first playthough I was unaware that B rank support with other students made them easier to recruit until I started my NG+ playthough and looked it up.

If I’d known B rank support helped then I would have recruited everyone on my first playthough.

The only students I was able to recuite on my first playthough were Caspar, Ingrid and Dorothea, simply because I did not know about B rank support helping with recruiting students.

Oh and obviously I recruited all the staff.

I also did not know about the time skip since I was going in blind, really sucked when I saw Ashe post time skip and I had to kill him.

All I did was endear every student to me with gifts until B-rank and then continually restarted the game during the week, since this is when B-ranked students have a chance to come into your class to ask to join. The only ones who were not so simple were Caspar and Ferdie, from whom I trained in brawling and armor (I think?) respectively. It was literally the last possible week that I directly asked Ferdinand to join, and he finally agreed. When I did the other routes I also recruited all students, but it's obviously a lot easier once you buy their B-ranks on NG+.

That's probably because verdant wind was the route created last.

It definitely should have allowed you to talk and cause them to leave the battlefield at Gronder. Perhaps that would have been a feature if they had more time for extra details

... I don’t hear this song for very long. During the Great Bridge fight, Ferdinand started moving to attack Claude, who got a crit and ended the battle... prematurely. It kind of stung, since I had tried to recruit Ferdie right before the timeskip.
