The mommy imagines that the baby would sound like her daddy if she could talk.

People are saying that the baby looks different than her supposed father.

The mommy lies to others and claims that all babies look the same.

The mommy hopes that the baby's physical features will change to look more like her supposed father.

The daddy shows strong emotions when he looks at the baby.

The baby and her supposed father have a strong bond.

The mommy is in a difficult situation and has to keep the secret.

Mommy kept the family together the best way she could
The mommy did what she had to do to keep the family together.

'Cause she knew in this case the truth would do more harm than good
The mommy believed that telling the truth would cause more harm than good.

What the daddy didn't know, didn't hurt him
The daddy was not hurt by not knowing the truth.

He had no cause to fret, and that's as close to happily ever after as anyone can get
The family was happy in its own way and this was the closest they could get to a happy ending.
