[INTRO:]
Beware for the Shottas dem strap
rastaman ah tell di youths dem fill low di Glock
Beware now dat cause heart attach and dem nuh care(no ooo)

Its a shame to see brothers killing themselves
Wasting energy, should be uplifting themselves
Who's di enemy putting shots on the shelf
What we need is brain-food and belly-food for our health

So don't get caught up in a petty passion
Be careful of dem guns and ammunition
And let us make a change in meditation
Cause we could use the strength for cultivation(my lord!)

[Chorus:]

Rastaman ah tell di youths dem nuh rat-ta-ta-tat
Beware now dat cause heart attach and dem nuh care and dem wi shot yuh inna yuh poop-poop-poop
Beware now the whole place hot Rastaman ah tell di youths dem fill low di Glock

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Tarrus Riley's "Beware" touch upon the issue of gun violence that plagues many communities. The song is a call to action for young people to resist the temptation of carrying guns and avoid being caught up in this violent culture. The artist portrays it as a senseless waste of energy and a lack of regard for human life. The chorus echoes this sentiment, urging the youths to be wary of the shottas, who don't care about the consequences of their actions.

The artist also highlights the fact that gun violence affects everyone, from school children to law enforcement agents. No one is safe, and it is a problem that needs to be tackled collectively. The lyrics acknowledge that solving this issue requires a shift in mindset; young people must prioritize education and putting food in their bellies over gun ownership. The song suggests that cultivating strength through meditation is a more constructive way to address these problems.

In conclusion, the song Beware is a powerful message about the impact of gun violence on communities, with an emphasis on the role of young people in creating positive change.

Who are the 11 persons who gave this song thumbs down? This is a warning to all who engages in gun violence and those who are affected.. Too often I witness the death of many young aspiring persons lying in the streets of Jamaica, who were victims of the gun. This has to change and i task all entertainers who are messengers to spread positive music to our ears. The change can start with us if we desire same.

Sadly an epidemic that's spreading the world, with gun crime in America and not forgetting knife crime sweeping across England!
