In some ways, it’s the same sort of theme that's been on Ray's mind since he first launched the ever-evolving project—which began with a series of no-fi punk songs recorded at home with friends. The world doesn’t matter, life is inherently painful, but you always find a way forward amidst the bleakness. For his part, at 31, he finally feels grown-up, and a little more self-assured—his new songs offer less of the desperate emotional thrashing of his youth.
Violets
Teen Suicide Lyrics

while you're doing the laundry
in the shade of an oak tree
you see right through me
someone calls me a liar
but I'm covered in violets
you mean the world to me
The lyrics of Teen Suicide's song Violets paints a vivid picture of a dream-like scenario where the singer envisions being with someone they deeply care about while they do mundane things like laundry under the shade of an oak tree. This dream-like quality is further exemplified in the line "you see right through me" which is both a cliche and a fantasy often portrayed in romantic movies. However, this dream is interrupted by someone calling the singer a liar, though they are covered in violets. The violets could be interpreted as a symbol of innocence, beauty or even death as violets were thought to symbolize death to the Ancient Greeks. Nevertheless, amidst this disturbance, the singer reasserts their feelings for the person they're dreaming of, assuring them that they mean the world to them and should not let anyone tell them different.
The song is open to multiple interpretations - one could see it as a commentary on societal expectations or as a cautionary tale of the futility of dreams. The oak tree could represent a place of peace, stability or even death. The laundry could represent the gritty, mundane reality of life that even the most idyllic dreams cannot escape from. The violets could represent the fragility of life, innocence or even death. The line "you see right through me" could be interpreted both negatively or positively - on one hand it could mean the person understands the singer deeply or on the other, it could mean that the person sees through the futility of the singer's dreams.

Teen Suicide demonstrates a real depression better that anyone. This video coupled with a track shows the tragedy and sadness of this state from the side. At this point, no one cares why it happened, in fact, everyone sees only a tired and sick person. It's hard to understand until you experience it, and even harder to understand if you've never lived with it.

I don't think Sam or any of Teen Suicide really cares what anybody thinks and thats probably why i relate to them the most. They try to be cringe worthy, and make a huge joke out of all of this, yet its still so amazing and meaningful.

WAΓUIGI no they changed their name because you have to be 18 or older to go see a teen suicide show, because of the name. Anything with provocative names or bad language is for adults only
Plus their label doesn’t like it that much, but they said they can allow teen suicide to be the name again
