The song "Agege" by Tekno ft Zlatan is a fast-paced and upbeat track that incorporates popular Nigerian street slangs like "Ibile" and "Kapaichumarimarichupaco." The song talks about the duo's love for women with expensive taste and big butts, and their willingness to spend on them. The chorus is a repetitive chant of "Agege ya steady," which is a reference to the Agege area of Lagos, known for its bustling markets, street food, and busy streets - a fitting metaphor for the energy and liveliness of the song. Tekno and Zlatan use witty and playful lyrics to create a track that is both catchy and entertaining, inviting listeners to dance and embrace their love for luxury and materialism.
Overall, the song can be seen as a celebration of the Nigerian street culture, with its rich tapestry of sounds, languages and personalities. Tekno and Zlatan both bring their unique styles and flavors to the track, blending traditional elements of Afrobeats with contemporary hip hop vibes. The track is a testament to the versatility and dynamism of Nigerian music and its ability to cross over into different global markets.
