Temples Lyrics

All in till summer last
All the rocky cold
If they put to rest a long lost fortune
Carry on to the distance of
Rarely squaring in the eyes of the one
Even brace while in the gun
Take a path of you, inside the odyssey
Ritualistic signs on the desert sea
Lead the river to the water
Take the fire from the trees
(Ah, ah)
All in all in the time of the last
Ceremonial prayer to the grass
Sink the ground where the image falls
If they put trust to a long lost fortune
Carry on to the far side
Cross the side to the eyes of the one
Rest in grace where the echo young
Legacy waits for the long lost fortune
Take a path of you, inside the odyssey
Ritualistic signs on the desert sea
Lead the river to the water
Take the fire from the trees
The song "Sun Structures" by Temples is a psychedelic rock track with ethereal lyrics. The lyrics seem to be about a journey taken by the singer to find a long lost fortune. The opening lines about the weather imply there is an urgency in this quest. The reference to "all in till summer last" implies a sense of finality, that time is running out for the singer. They need to find what they are looking for before it's too late. The following lines about the rocky cold suggest that the journey is difficult and harsh, but the singer perseveres.
The next lines talk about the singer squaring up to someone while being in the gun, possibly indicating a confrontation or peril. However, the singer's legacy is waiting for them if they find the long lost fortune. The chorus talks about taking a path inside the odyssey, seeking guidance in ritualistic signs on the desert sea, possibly indicating a spiritual journey. The singer is asked to lead the river to the water, which could mean to follow their intuition towards what they are searching for. The final line of the chorus implores the singer to take the fire from the trees, which could mean to harness energy, passion, and power.
The second verse follows the same structure as the first, but the references are about the ceremonial prayer to the grass and sinking the ground where the image falls. These lines could suggest a reverence for nature and the environment. The lines about crossing to the other side and resting in grace could indicate a passage into the afterlife or a new phase of life. The final lines repeat the chorus, suggesting that the journey continues even beyond the song's end.

(One night) You came on over to me
(Late night) We shared a drink or three
(Night night) I read a proverb to you
(That night) She left a room with a view
Take all the time
Time that you want to
Make up your mind
Mind how you go
Take me in time
Time to the music
Take me away to the twilight zone
(Last night) We stayed up late in a dream
(My oh my) We read a play with no theme
(Lifetime) In which our love pursues
(My time) In which I spend with you
Now I know the lonely days are gone
Don't you know that I can see
Like a summer day that's always long
We repel the wet of tears
As the shadows lighten up the day
Through the cons we laugh away
Like a windy day that's always wrong
We take shelter where we can
(Last night) I came on over to you
(My oh my) We played a song or two
(Lifetime) I read a poem loud
(My time) I wrote a song for thee
Now I know the lonely days are gone
Don't you know that I can see
Like a summer day that's always long
We repel the wet of tears
As the shadows lighten up the day
Through the cons we laughed away
Like a windy day that's always wrong
We take shelter where we can

I'm greatly pleased with finding this album. Psychedelic is my favorite music, and they are one of the best psychedelic groups I have heard. They could have made this album in 1967, or 1968 and would have been one of the best psychedelic groups of the time.

Theses guys are awesome. They pick up where the bands from the sixties left off. They are very talented musicians and I think they have much more to offer in their future.

idc if this album is completely unoriginal and kinda bland. i fucking love it and there are hardly any other bands with this sound anymore. let's also not forget that this band is only 2 years old.

Oh Temples! This album Sun Structures sounds like it came out in 1967, and we're still jamming to these classic grooves sounds. One of my new favorite albums, for sure!

I don't understand how so many people can listen to such a terrific album and have nothing to say that isn't either a complaint or something involving Tame Impala or The Beatles. Come on. Honestly? This is awesome, and it really, really makes me want to dance. Consistently. The album has excellent energy. It kicks ass. Doesn't anybody notice that?

Yes, but a large amount of people are just a bunch of unhappy complainers these days. Excellent music, just wrong decade. Music is not dead, people are.

People don’t give them enough credit, or say that they sound too similar to older bands. When a new band releases an album this original and with this much creativity in 2014, which is dominated by pop and hip hop, please give them respect. I’m hoping that in a few years people will come back to this album, as I feel it will someday be appreciated like a classic rock record, as well as other certain rock/alternative releases between 2012-14. Instant classic.

This album is intoxicating !!
First heard them on NPR .

Doesn't matter to who it's similar to and what bands are better than them, this is just fucking awesome!
