In Teratism's song "My Wintery Embrace," the lyrics describe an inevitable reunion between a person and a personification of death ("the coldness"). The first line of the song, "Yes, your time is here," sets the tone for the impending end of the person's life. The following lines, "Weep not for soon all sorrow/Shall come to an end," suggest that death is a release from the pain and suffering of life. The next stanza depicts death as a lover, using sensual language to describe the moment when they finally come together ("My eyes lick upon yours/Relief it comes in waves...").
The lyrics go on to suggest that all humans will eventually face death, regardless of their denial of it ("All you humans living in denial of me/Will all one day come to me").
