Thanksgiving Lyrics

There's no moment but this one
Now here are these goals,
There's no moment but this one
Now here are all my dreams,
There's no moment but this one,
The future is just a scheme,
There is no other moment
there are those dark hills where the sun sets the scene now here are our yellow windows,
We spend a moment in them
Now here is this longing,
Like the kids with laptops rememering where they are whilst plugging in firewire, while searching for wifi
Here is this longing
whether it's right or it's wrong
Whether it's nice or not
There is no moment but this one
And so we are still wild
These lyrics from Thanksgiving's song "Moments" speak to living in the present and embracing the uniqueness of each moment. The repetition of "There's no moment but this one" emphasizes the idea that the present is all we truly have, and it is important to make the most of it. The reference to hopes, goals, and dreams suggests that the present moment is the foundation upon which we build our future, and we must approach it with intentionality and purpose. Yet, the lyric "The future is just a scheme" reminds us not to get too caught up in the future, but to focus on the present moment and cherish it for what it is.
The imagery in the lyrics is also captivating, with the reference to "dark hills where the sun sets the scene" contrasting against the "yellow windows" where the singer spends a moment. This juxtaposition reminds us that even in dark or difficult moments, there is always something to be grateful for and cherish. The comparison to "kids with laptops" searching for wifi captures the modern-day reality of being constantly connected, yet still feeling a sense of longing for something more.
Overall, these lyrics encourage us to be present, intentional, and grateful for every moment we have, whether it is a happy, difficult, or mundane one.

You kind kinda tell what years some of these plays are from based on
- TV graphics
- game locations (Texas Stadium to Death Star, Tiger Stadium to Silverdome to Ford Field)
- announcing teams
- logos & jersey combos
- who played in DAL & DET in certain years
Othersā¦ you kinda have to guess like the Dolphins blasting the Cardinals. It was in St Louis & in one of the two years in the 1970s when the Cowboys didnāt host Thanksgiving Day (1975, 1977)

I remember that game, turf looked like an ice rink, nobody could have felt their hands, and Leon Lett had struck by losing the football grip twice in 1993, one while blowing out against the Buffalo Bills at the hands of Don Beebe, and bookended with the dumbest play on Thanksgiving

@Mikael Pecan Good thing McAfee was the one special teams player that actually did his job on that play. Otherwise it could have been a hell of a lot more than 40. Besides it's great to watch a punter level an opponent. Not something you see very often.
