The Chop Chop Defined
The Ambassador Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Gotta get the blood flowing ...
gotta get the blood going ...
A-M-B-A-S-S-A-D-O-R ...
see I'm called ...
It's my pleasure to bring you the third album ...
it's The Chop Chop.
Now already some people been saying "the WHAT??" Chop Chop, you heard me.
See it's multi-facetious, multi-layered.
You heard of "chopping it up?" Well that's when we just get around in a circle or find a table, find a couple chairs, and we just begin to discuss, dialogue.
Well that's what we gon' do.
And we gon' discuss and dialogue about maturity in the faith as we goin' from milk to meat.
We gon' hit some -ations and some -ologies, like sanctification, justification, glorification, missiology, ecclesiology, and of course, Christology.
I mean you know me, this how we get down.
This is a call, this is an exhortation to go beyond the concerts, get up in the classroom of his grace.
Go beyond the classroom, hit them corners.
Yeah.
So it's The Chop Chop: From Milk to Meat.
Let us move on past the elementary truths.

Let's get our weight up.
Yeah ...

Overall Meaning

In The Ambassador's interlude, "The Chop Chop Defined", the artist uses creative language to introduce and explain the concept behind his third album, The Chop Chop. The lyrics emphasize the importance of active engagement, dialogue, and the pursuit of spiritual growth and maturity in the faith through the exploration of theological concepts. The artist uses the metaphor of "getting the blood flowing" to convey a sense of urgency and invigoration, as if to say that this is not an album to simply listen to passively, but rather one that demands active participation and engagement.

The Ambassador then goes on to introduce the album's central theme, "From Milk to Meat", which refers to the process of spiritual maturation and growth from a place of spiritual immaturity (represented by "milk") to one of spiritual maturity and depth (represented by "meat"). The artist highlights the importance of engaging with complex theological concepts such as sanctification, justification, glorification, missiology, ecclesiology, and Christology, and encourages listeners to move beyond mere intellectual exploration and engage in active participation with these concepts in their day-to-day lives.

Overall, The Chop Chop Defined serves as an invitation to dive deeper into one's faith and engage with the difficult and complex concepts that lie at its core. It is a call to move beyond the surface level exploration of one's spirituality and to embrace the challenge of true spiritual growth and maturity.
