Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again?
The Angels Lyrics

Brewster-Neeson-Brewster)

Went down to Santa Fe, where Renoir paints the walls,
Described you clearly, but the sky began to fall

Am I ever gonna see your face again?

Trams cars and taxis, like a wax-works on the move
Carrying young girls past me, but none of them are you

Am I ever gonna see your face again?

Without you near me I got no place to go
Wait at the bar, maybe you might show

Am I ever gonna see your face again?

I got to stop these tears that's falling from my eye
Go walk out in the rain, so no one sees me cry

Am I ever gonna see your face again?

Can't stop the memory that goes climbing through my brain
I get no answer so the question still remains

Am I ever gonna see your face again?

Doc was in a class of his own. Great musicians but Doc WAS The Angels. The fill-ins and pretenders are second-rate at best. Lucky for us, we can watch one of the greatest frontmen to ever come out of this country whenever we wish. Thanks for the great memories, Doc...RIP...🌺🌺🌺

Saw the Angels live in Aussie pubs. Doc Neeson belting it out in his tuxedo.. climbing the stage scaffold...his face in the blue light singing Baby out of the blue. One time I was close to the stage in a pub and Doc spat water over the crowd...landing on me. It was like holy water...RIP Doc and long live The Angels in Aussie rock mortality.

The iconic Doc Neeson . . . absolute aussie legend.Saw these guys live for the 1st time @ Cloudlands, Brisbane in 1982. Changed my world as a rock musician. Thank you your Angels.

Nah, I know what you mean - but it just means you didn't understand the verses. Some of the most poetic verse in Rock history - and some great guitar. Fortunately, their live engineer was much better than the recording engineer.

That I hear in Melba’s chocolate factory
