Trust in me
The Black Sheep Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No one was on my side
I was not strong enough
I was on no one’s mind
Bleeding from all of you
No one noticed me
Meaningless for everyone
Shout
Out
Loud
Out of my mind
To trust in me is everything
I can ever do, I can ever do
So please, oh please
Don’t break the trust in me
You want me to be like you
Nothing else counts
I was not strong enough
I was on no one’s mind
Bleeding from all of you
No one noticed me
Meaningless for everyone
I just wanted to
Shout
Out
Loud
Out of my mind
To trust in me...
The Black Sheep's song "Trust in me" is a powerful representation of a person who feels neglected, lost and alone in the world, with no one to turn to. The first few lines "One day I gave up my hope, No one was on my side, I was not strong enough, I was on no one’s mind" depict a person who has completely lost hope and is tired of fighting alone. They feel weak and invisible, with no one to support them. The lines "Bleeding from all of you, No one noticed me" are heartbreaking, as they highlight the feeling of being ignored and alone, even when surrounded by people.
The chorus "To trust in me is everything I can ever do, I can ever do, So please, oh please, Don’t break the trust in me" signifies that the person is asking for trust, and is willing to do everything in their power to maintain that trust. The lines "You want me to be like you, Nothing else counts" signify that the person is being pressured to conform and not stand out. The last few lines "Meaningless for everyone, I just wanted to shout out loud out of my mind" signify the frustration and desire to scream out loud, to just be heard and acknowledged.
Overall, the song reflects the struggle of many people who feel neglected, ignored and isolated in society. It emphasizes the need for trust and support, and the importance of being heard and acknowledged.
