The band then began to take on a life beyond the confines of the television screen, releasing an album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978, and then having a Hollywood film, The Blues Brothers, created around its characters in 1980.
After the death of Belushi in 1982, the Blues Brothers have continued to perform with a rotation of guest singers and other band members. Aykroyd reunited the original band in 1988 for a world tour and again in 1998 for a sequel to the film, Blues Brothers 2000. Aykroyd and the band, occasionally joined by Belushi's brother Jim, make regular appearances at musical festivals worldwide.

Pretty pretty pretty pretty baby
Would you groove with me tonight
Won't you groove with me baby
While the moon is shining bright

The lyrics to The Blues Brothers' song "Groove Me" are about the singer's desire to spend a night with a pretty baby. The singer asks the baby to ride with him and groove to the music while the moon is shining bright. He compliments her on her appearance and asks her to groove with him again. He then shows off his mobile and automobile and asks the baby to groove with him again while he feels good.
The lyrics are straightforward, with a focus on the repetitive nature of the groove. It's clear that the singer is trying to entice the baby with the promise of a good time, using his charm and his cool car to impress her.
The repetition of the "hey hey hey hey" and "woo hoo hoo" in the chorus emphasizes the song's focus on the groove and the fun of the moment. The repeated "ow!" is a kind of blues vocalization that expresses the intensity of the groove, adding an extra element of excitement to the song.
Overall, the lyrics to "Groove Me" are a celebration of the appeal of a good time and the desire to connect with someone else through music and dance.

Belushi says the words "Lamb's Bread" at the end of the song. This predate's Biggie Small's usage of the slang but also shows how culturally educated and open John Belushi truly was. A friend of racial unity before it was ever cool, as it still seems to not be, but we can all work together. #unity never give up.

Briefcase Full of Blues. Somebody gave it to me for Christmas when it first came out. Dig Duck's bass but the original is funkier, IMO.
