Following the completion of the band's contract, Joseph moved to California and now works on projects and producing acts. Zweber joined a local Milwaukee band called King Gun made up of former members of the Milwaukee hard rock act Big Dumb Dick. King Gun only released a three song demo in 2004. Here's my pliers, come closer
Do you want me to try, 'cause I can get it
All for nothing, doesn't anybody see where this is going?
All out of my hands
Your dirty secret
And you can take your promise
I said lover, slacker, what's that on your tongue?
Here's my hacksaw, open wide
I can even make it numb before I do it
Oh, forever, but if it was meant to be, we'd be together
All out of my hands
Your dirty secret
And you can take your promise
Oh, but I won't keep it, oh no
I said lover, lover
All out of my hands
Your dirty secret
And you can take your promise
Oh, but I won't keep it, oh no
I said God, God, come down off your cloud
Can't you see me suffer?
If there's anyone I know, it's you can do it
Oh, forever, if we'd all just try and give one damn together
Oh and I said God, God, come down off your cloud
Can't you see me suffer?
If there's anyone I know, I know
Oh forever, if we'd all just try and give one damn together
Oh and I said God, God
If it was meant to be, we'd be together
The Buzzhorn's song "Out of My Head" is a powerful track that deals with themes of betrayal and anger towards a former lover. The song opens with the lines "Hey lover, buyer, what's that in your eye? Here's my pliers, come closer. Do you want me to try, 'cause I can get it" which sets the tone for the rest of the song as the singer confronts their former partner. The lyrics seem to be about the desire for revenge, as the singer offers to use their toolset to extract something from their ex's eye, perhaps symbolic of removing the perspective that led to their betrayal.
As the song continues, the lyrics become more aggressive and accusatory, with lines like "Your dirty secret, and you can take your promise, oh, but I won't keep it," revealing a deep sense of anger and betrayal. The chorus is a repeated refrain of the lines "All out of my hands, your dirty secret, and you can take your promise, oh, but I won't keep it," further emphasizing the feeling of powerlessness and the desire to move on from the hurt and betrayal.
The song ends with a plea to God to intervene and alleviate the singer's pain, with lines like "I said God, God, come down off your cloud, can't you see me suffer?" and "Oh forever, if we'd all just try and give one damn together." The song ends on a somewhat optimistic note, suggesting that with effort and empathy, we can all work together to overcome the pain and trauma that can come from failed relationships.
