Tell Me Show
The Crickets/Buddy Holly Lyrics

You know how I need your love
Tell me how you keep the love
Within your heart from me
Don't you know that I love you
Let me show why I'm true blue
When I know our love is true
If you would say to me today
The time for love is now
Could I sway your love my way
Then I say tell me how
Tell me how to keep your love
You know how I need your love
Tell me how you keep the love
Within your heart from me
If you would say to me today
The time for love is now
Could I sway your love my way
Then I say tell me how
Tell me how to keep your love
You know how I need your love
Tell me how you keep the love
Within your heart from me
Tell me how you keep the love
Within your heart from me

@Mostly Brenda I would love to see all of those artists posted here! Jimmie Rodgers is a good bet since they have released videos of him in TV compilations of the past. I'd also love to see really rare footage that I've never seen before from Ed Sullivan like Linda Scott doing "Christmas Day", Joni James, Kathy Linden, Eileen Barton, Sunny Gale, the Four Lads, Billy Ward and the Dominoes, along with great tenors such as James Melton "Beyond the Sea" and Jan Peerce. They had a lot of great opera singers on the show doing pop songs as well as opera and they are very under-represented on this channel.
It's astounding to me that they have never officially released any of the great performances by the Platters, including their incredible rendition of "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes". In my opinion, the Platters were the best music group of the 1950's due to the beautiful voice of Tony Williams, and timeless songs.
Of course, I'd love to see a great many of Teresa Brewer performances, who performed on the show more than anyone else and was probably Ed's favorite female singer (and one of mine as well). Ed preferred the old-fashioned music to rock and roll.
Ed frequently invited singers who were popular in the 1920's and even earlier on his show too, so there is some really historic rare footage of singers such as Will Oakland, Helen Kane, Sophie Tucker, Blossom Seeley and others, which may never be seen again.
There is an incredible wealth of important and historic musical footage in the Ed Sullivan archives, much of which hasn't been seen since it was first aired. I hope someday it will all be available, and not just the more common mainstream footage.

The drummer is incredible. He's driving the song and so in the pocket, so relaxed. He does some connecting with Buddy's singing/melody, Just incredible.

I was lucky enough to meet J.I. (Jerry) Allison (drummer) and Joe Mauldin (bass player) after a show back in 1989. Got their autographs and chatted with them for a few minutes. Incredibly nice and down to earth guys.
