'Til The Right One Comes Along
The Dave Clark Five Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's not the first time it's happened to me
Cause every girl I seem to get leaves me
But I'll keep on trying
Till the right one comes along
Oh, oh, oh

Every time I think "this is the one"
All she'll do is get up and run
But I'll keep on trying
Till the right one comes along

I've tried so hard but it seems no use
Cause every time I get to like somebody
They just get up and leave
And it gives me the blues

It's not the first time it's happened to me
Every girl I seem to get leaves me
But I'll keep on trying
Till the right one comes along
Oh, oh, oh

I've tried so hard but it seems no use
Cause every time I get to like somebody
They just get up and leave
And it gives me the blues

Every time I think "this is the one"
All she'll do is get up and run
But I'll keep on trying
Till the right one comes along
Oh, oh, oh
I'll keep on trying
Till the right one comes along
Oh, oh, oh

I'll keep on trying
Till the right one comes along

Yeah...We all know the feeling of rejection Cos it certainly isn't pleasant. That sort of thing feels like a kick in the gut. We have to be like Wolverine when he's injured his body does heal quickly. Great message not to give up eventually the right one will come along. Both men and women have been rejected by the opposite sex. It's a great song because awhile back I had a 2 cassette tape set. "The History Of the Dave Clark 5". I played those tapes till wore them out, or busted them. The DC5 were one of my favorite bands. This song was on one of those tapes.
