Lyrics:
[Verse 1:]
Picked up the phone
Dialed your number
Click
I can't forget
The way things used to be
Felt so good
Had me saying oh
You know it ain't always money
But don't it sound funny
Everyday is my day when I'm loving no one
[Chorus:]
Is it reality to think true love was made for me?
Cause of the pain I feel
When the phone rings and it ain't for me?
Most of the time
I read myself to sleep 7 days a week
And I can go on and on and on, you see
But this time could mean I'm running outta love
[Verse 2:]
Late at night
When there's no one around
I can feel the tingle in my hand
Felt so good
Had me saying uh
You know it ain't always money
But don't it sound funny
Everyday is my day when I'm loving no one
[Chorus 2:]
Is it reality to think true love was made for me?
(Was it made for me)
Cause of the pain I feel when the phone rings
And it ain't for me?
(It ain't for me)
Most of the time
I read myself to sleep 7 days a week
(But I'ma go on)
And I can go on and on and on, you see
But this time could mean
I'm running outta love
(Oh out of love)
Running outta love
(Oh out of love)
[Bridge:]
I remember love
I remember like it was yesterday
I remember love
Picked up the phone
Dialed your number
Click
[Chorus 3:]
Is it reality to think true love was made for me?
Cause of the pain I feel when the phone rings
And it ain't for me?
Most of the time
I read myself to sleep 7 days a week
(I'ma gonna go on)
And I can go on and on and on, you see
But this time could mean
[Chorus 4:]
Is it reality to think true love was made for me?
Cause of the pain I feel
(Pain I feel, the pain was real)
When the phone rings and it ain't for me?
Most of the time
I read myself to sleep 7 days a week
(But I'ma go on)
And I can go on and on and on, you see
But this time could mean
[Chorus 5:]
Is it reality to think true love was made for me?
Cause of the pain I feel
When the phone rings and it ain't for me?
Most of the time
I read myself to sleep 7 days a week
(7 days a week)
And I can go on and on and on, you see
But this time could mean
I'm running outta love
I'm running outta love
(Oh out of love)
Running outta love
(Oh out of love)

When I wrote this song, it was coming off of a big hit song I wrote in 95', "Freak Like Me" by Adina Howard that changed the game! "Reality" was actually supposed to go to TLC, but they broke up at the time. But Elusion did their thing, the company dropped the ball on this one, should of been a No.1 hit! Shout out to
"Mass Order"!
@g6686not
Salute to you for writing this! It still sounds fresh 23 years later. The label definitely dropped the ball.

I agree it sounds like a TLC song....I loved this group very unique they were supposed to be greater than Destiny's child

THIS is how you know a song is meant to stand the test of time. i remember loving this video and being intrigued by the group. i even recorded the video on VHS back in 97/98.
The video has aged beautifully and doesn’t look dated in any way.
i have never forgotten this song and for 21 years, i would find myself singing it to myself.
Like today, i was watching a true crime documentary when this song randomly came to mind and i was compelled to look up the video.
i don’t know what these kids are doing today, but i doubt that their music will
be remembered as fondly in 15-20 years.
