Eyes
The Fiestas Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Seat for one shared by two
I don't know what to do
Playing it off like this isn't your game that I'm playing

I look into your eyes
I see into your heart
It says that you're not sure
But you wanted to know from the start if you could

Please take my hand and oh
Let us stare into each other's souls
With your Starry eyes
Oh love me please right now
Let me hold you tight and let's figure this out
Together

Stuck inside of my head
So much that people ask if I am dead
I'm just terrified
Until I

I look into your eyes
I see into your heart
It says that you're not sure
But you wanted to know from the start if you could

Please take my hand and oh
Let us stare into each other's souls
With your Starry eyes
Oh love me please right now
Let me hold you tight and let's figure this out
Together

I've been waiting so long for this moment
And it's finally arrived
So I

I look into your eyes
I see into your heart
It says that you're not sure
But you wanted to know from the start if you could

Please take my hand and oh
Let us stare into each other's souls
With your Starry eyes
Oh love me please right now

Let me hold you tight and let's figure this out
Together

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of The Fiestas' song "Eyes" depict a moment of vulnerability and uncertainty in a romantic relationship. The singer finds themselves in a situation where they are unsure about the other person's feelings and intentions. The opening line, "Seat for one shared by two, I don't know what to do," suggests a sense of confusion and hesitation. The singer is unsure of how to navigate this situation and is pretending that they are not emotionally invested in the game that is being played.

As the song progresses, the focus shifts to the eyes as a means of communication and understanding. The singer looks into the other person's eyes and interprets what they see as uncertainty but also a desire to know the truth. The plea for the other person to take their hand and stare into each other's souls signifies a desire for authenticity and deeper connection. The repetition of "Oh love me please right now, let me hold you tight and let's figure this out together" emphasizes the urgency and longing for resolution. The singer has been waiting for this moment for a long time and is finally ready to confront their fears and uncertainties.

Lyrics:

So fine, so fine, so fine, yeah
My baby's so doggone fine
She loves me, come rain, come shine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine

She thrills me, she thrills me
She thrills me, yeah
My baby thrills me all the time
She sends those chills up and down my spine

Oh, oh, yeah so fine
Well, I know she loves me so
Well I know, because my baby tells me so
Oh, oh, so fine

So fine, so fine, yeah
My baby's so doggone fine
She sends those chills up and down my spine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine

Well, I know she loves me so
Well I know, because my baby tells me so
Oh, oh, so fine

So fine, so fine, yeah
My baby's so doggone fine
She sends those chills up and down my spine
Oh, oh yeah, so fine

So fine (3x)

Why did this type of music have to go? Heartfelt lyrics and damn, those harmonies!

80s vinyl fan

So true!

UncleMikeNJ

The music didn't go anywhere. The people did. Their loss, not the music's.

SharkOSix

its a mix of rock and roll and the blues it still exists although I do think the older generations did it better

Murdoch

@SharkOSix it’s how they mixed it. All music is derivative of other music I realize, but there was just something so pure about this era. No digital effects, no sampling, no autotune, just music.
