1. Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979 in Compton, California, United States), better known by his stage name Game, formerly known as The Game, is an American Grammy Award winning gangsta rapper signed to Aftermath Entertainment through his own label Black Wall Street Records, with which he founded with his half brother Big Fase 100. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then he has released several other critically acclaimed albums, 2006's Doctor's Advocate and 2008's LAX. The RED Album was released August 23, 2011. All of his four albums debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 100, and he is widely considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.
Studying various influential rap albums, Game developed a strategy to become a rapper himself and with help from Big Fase, they founded The Black Wall Street Records. The label originally featured such artists as Glasses Malone, Vita, and Nu Jerzey Devil, along with Game himself. His stage name was coined by his grandmother. Game first gained prominence when he attended a hip-hop summit hosted by Russell Simmons and Louis Farrakhan, releasing his first mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 1 in 2002, followed by a record deal with the independent label, Get Low Recordz owned by JT the Bigga Figga. Originally Sean Combs of Bad Boy Records was going to sign him to his label, but Game's mixtape found the attention of famed producer Dr. Dre, who signed him to Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. In October 2004, he released his first album Untold Story through Get Low Recordz, which sold over 82,000 copies within its first three months. The album featured artists like Sean T, Young Noble (of the Outlawz), and JT the Bigga Figga. Game also appeared on various mixtapes hosted by DJ's such as DJ Kayslay, DJ Whoo Kid, and DJ Clue. Game also released a second mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 2 through his own record label and appeared on the video game NBA Live 2004 on a song produced by Fredwreck called "Can't Stop Me". On January 24th, 2011, he released a mixtape entitled, "Purp & Patron."

This is Hov talking to Rumi and Blue Carter, nigga
This is Nas talking to Destiny
This Imani and Nip's legacy
Beautiful black babies
I hope you never meet a nigga like me, but one who treat you like a lady
It ain't about the Hermes bag and the Mercedes
It's about whenever you cry, he stop you from going crazy
For my blessing, it's thirty-three seconds, Tracy McGrady
Niggas shady, so I gotta protect you, Em and Hailie
Tell them disrespectful niggas I polish the semi daily
I trust you, I love you, get chills when I touch you
Open the 'Rari doors, you hop in, and I hug you
Tell you daddy ain't perfect, I did what I had to do
And one day I'm gon' explain, Tristan Thompson, the truth
Think I'm superhuman, but I'm only human
Over my baby, we can get into it
Hop out the Bentley coupe while it's still movin'
Like, "Nigga, this my daughter, tell me what we doin'"
I can't see it comin' down my eyes
So I make somebody son cry
I can't see it comin' down my eyes
So I make somebody son cry, look
I call it California dream 'cause I'm livin' one
Hollowed up them F&Ns and show a nigga some'
Or you could be my third son, take a pic or some'
Linin' Budweiser cans up and shoot the blick or some'
You roll Backwoods, but she don't smoke
Her mama grew up in 60s, my nigga, she ain't no joke
But don't be cussin' my daughter, she ain't no loc
And don't be drivin' her brazy, 'cause them are folks
So smart, so beautiful, baby hairs to the cuticles
Rolex at eleven, she ain't impressed by the usual
Don't ever disrespect or overstep, that's law
Keep a fresh pack of Magnums, you ain't hittin' that raw
You ain't hittin' at all, I told her wait for marriage
Iced out since she was two, so she don't date for karats
It's like Ye in Paris when North and Chi in town
I'm either walking her down the aisle or walking straight out of trial
Fuck with me
Think I'm superhuman, but I'm only human
Over my baby, we can get into it
Hop out the Bentley coupe while it's still movin'
Like, "Nigga, this my daughter, tell me what we doin'"
I can't see it comin' down my eyes
So I make somebody son cry
I can't see it comin' down my eyes
So I make somebody son cry, look
In "A Father's Prayer," The Game addresses his daughter directly, expressing his hopes and concerns for her as she grows up in the world. He starts by acknowledging that he may not be a perfect father figure, but he wants her to find a man who will treat her with respect and protect her from harm. He emphasizes that material possessions are not important, but rather the emotional support and care she receives. He also warns that there will be many men pursuing her, but he will always be there to look out for her and keep her safe.
The Game references other fathers, such as Jay-Z, Nas, and the late Nipsey Hussle, highlighting the importance of mentoring and leaving a positive legacy for future generations. He proclaims his love, trust, and admiration for his daughter, explaining that he is always there to support her. He acknowledges his past mistakes and promises to eventually explain certain personal truths, potentially referencing the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal involving Khloe Kardashian.
The rapper reflects on the misconception of his strength and humanity, emphasizing that he is human just like anyone else and is capable of feeling emotions strongly. He affirms his willingness to confront anyone who disrespects his daughter, even if it leads to conflict. The reference to the Bentley coupe highlights his determination to protect his daughter even in intense situations.
The Game describes his daughter's upbringing, portraying her as smart and beautiful. He mentions her mother's background growing up in the 60s, depicting a strong and resilient lineage. He advises against disrespecting or mistreating his daughter and warns against reckless behavior, emphasizing the importance of family values. He mentions his daughter's maturity, her preference for quality over materialistic desires, and his intention to guide her to wait for marriage.
The verse ends with a reference to Kanye West's marriage in Paris and The Game's readiness to either walk his daughter down the aisle or face the consequences of his actions in a trial. This line signifies his commitment to his daughter's well-being and the potential challenges he may face in protecting her.
Overall, "A Father's Prayer" is a heartfelt and protective song where The Game expresses his deep love and concern for his daughter, while also sharing wisdom and cautionary advice for her future.
