Amazing! I actually did Julien’s TM Mentoring which was a great experience, but this video really complimented one key thing I learnt on JB’s course. On one of the live Zoom calls with Julien, I said, “I’m very positive,” Julien stopped me and said, “No! Be authentic!” It hit me like a tonne of bricks (and some of my friends from the course still remember that moment), because as someone who is or was a nice pleasant person, I used to always be pleasant, positive, never get angry and never tell exploitive people there crossing the line. @Owen Cook Free Tour It can be a paradox because in the moment, with social interactions I find it really beneficial for all to come from the frame of "everybody is my friend" and extending freely YET if you keep that frame as you let in people closer to you it can become an issue (depending on the person) so it becomes really important to make that audit and assure that balance is there in that stage.

Dude, I'm thankful for what you said. I found most points very interesting! The part with not picking up the phone was very touching. I would really love to hear if you found some way to help to reduce the risk of codependence/addiction, especially when the other one tries to conciously keep one trapped, or how to get through it in a hopefully mostly undamaged way. Is it cutting the rope the minute you realize it, or how to handle it best from your experience? Does the principle to balance receiving and giving apply here as well, that you still would appreciate it, when the other person leaves? And also putting borders against the other person's giving when it comes from a destructive paradigm? Take care and all the best

I resonate with your message about empath / narcissist relationships so much. Couple years ago I had no game whatsoever and basically also not many real friends around me. At university I met somebody who I back then thought to be really impressive and cool, he also introduced me to a lot of stuff that I had no experience in prior like socializing, working out but also smoking weed and other toxic behaviours like talking bad about others. For the last couple years I had spent tons of time with this person and whenever these toxic behaviours came up, I would just rationalise them, telling myself similar stuff as you described. "They don't mean that. This seems insane but they are a good person at heart. Yeah, they treated me unfairly again, but they just don't realise what they are doing.".
At some point he started gaining tons of weight, not going out anymore at all and also stagnated in his mental growth, not learning any new skills but instead just playing video games all day every day. He would also talk negatively about his girlfriend open to me and others, and similarly talk about me to others like that. I however kept improving, started getting game, got into really amazing relationships, got into the best shape of my life, found jobs / my own business that fulfilled me... But he suddenly started talking shit directly to my face about how much everything I do sucks and how everyone I hang out with sucks. Now in retrospect I realise, that it was not *suddenly*. He had been doing that all along but I merely wasn't paying attention to it. Basically that guy taught me how to get rid of toxic people in my life and how to recognise them, so I am glad I had that experience regardless.

PS: When I started learning about game by going out by my own, he would tell me how cringy it was while at the same time he was feeling sorry for himself sitting at home, not having any game and just being mopy about some girl he was with in the past. I am still in contact with that girl and she actually told me that she stopped contact with that person for the same reasons.

Also get into health seriously, do boxing, it helps eye contact, you get a little bounce to your step, you are shaving off ur ego every session because if u dont , you get hit or worn down or hit incorrectly that you hurt yourself.

This is something I struggle with, I make 190k a year as a DevOps engineer, and I'm starting to notice I am getting so lazy and losing motivation at work.
I hate that I am - because 5 years ago I was SOOO excited about tech and wanted to learn everything, and now I'm like.. meh. I'm all burnt out, and I'm making a ton of money and I get job offers every day, I'm not motivated to push myself because there is no reason to.

I always love seeing these videos popup.

People are always hyper focused on what they produce and they probably should be. If you believe in the Bible, the parable of the talents says people are judged by their return on investment. But if everything you create is a product of you, then your main focus should be promoting inner personal growth. If you want to make some powerful art or build a strong business, you need to become a different person, one who's capable of bringing forth those high level creations into the world. Take leaps that put yourself in trying situations.
Also, recognize that ideas are more than words or images. They're mental entities which only last if you make a conscious effort to feed them. If an idea makes you excited, maybe a vision of your future self or your future circumstances, form a habit of returning to it mentally and take a moment to experience the feeling it gives you. You might think, though, as you make progress toward the idea as reality, perhaps accumulating outward symbols of achievement, you can focus on other things but don't lose the form and shape of the idea that originally inspired you and forget how it made you feel. If you nourish an idea with your mental energies, it will change and grow with you and be a continuous source of inspiration to you throughout your entire life.

Great content and energy, but honestly the thumbnail is a bit misleading in my opinion. I thought you were going to talk about the guy's posture and how to "fix" it, but you didn't even look at him in the entire video. Not a big deal, just wanted to point that out in good faith in case it was an editing mistake that can be easily corrected. Otherwise an awesome, insightul video. Hope you smash the upcoming launch!

It's just amazing to see how you have gone into being these slightly different personalities every few years or so but the good in your heart is always there 100%.
