According to Josey, you sat by the stage and ordered a margarita. When it arrived, you grinned at Johnny and exclaimed 'ole!'

Personally, I've been spending time with some rough guys down at the harbor. I enjoy listening to their old stories about how they're trying not to drink, even if it's just for today.

and then I take the guitar you gave me, the one I didn't pawn and then I go over to this little folk club and wait around to play

And then Josey told me you had a few more margaritas and you got up on stage and started playin' the tambourine
Later, Josey informed me that you had more margaritas and went on stage to play the tambourine.

and you started singin' oh la la la loud real loud off key in the microphone and shaking it like they never seen and then the cops came and your old boyfriend and the kid had to convicne them not to haul you away
You began singing 'oh la la la' loudly and badly into the microphone, and shaking the tambourine in a way they'd never seen before. The police arrived, and your ex-boyfriend and friend had to talk them out of arresting you.

I don't know why Josey told me this perhaps it was just to brighten up my day
I'm not sure why Josey chose to tell me this - maybe she was just trying to cheer me up.
