Overall Meaning

The Jackson 5's "Little Bitty Pretty One" is an upbeat and playful song that seems to be about a young boy's innocent infatuation with a girl. The repeated "ah-ah-ah" in the beginning of the song sets a happy tone and the lyrics "come on and talk-a to me" and "come sit down on my knee" show the boy's eagerness to get to know the girl better. He then tells her a story of how he's been watching her grow, indicating that he's been paying attention to her for a while.

The song's title, "Little Bitty Pretty One," reinforces the idea that the boy is enamored by the girl's youth and charm. The word "bitty" suggests that she's small and cute, while "pretty" connotes beauty and attractiveness. This Song is Pure ELECTRIC!!! My Family , and my Mothers friend Rose
were at a VFW hall in Portland Maine along with My Uncles, Aunts and all
of my Cousins!!! there was a New Years Eve party there!! All of us were
having a fantastic time!! Everyone was dancing and showing their Moves
My Cousins were Dancing and were Really good!!! We Didn't dance much
because we stayed low key and waiting for the right time to blow the Roof
off the VFW hall!!! Later there was a dance contest and my Mother and Rose
Said to us " Are you guys Ready to rip the roof off this Place"!!! All we said
was "Anytime you are ready MOM"!!! The contest got going and my Aunts
and Uncles tore up the floor with some swing music!! Then my Cousins
and some other Teenagers Dance and were Sensational!!! I asked the DJ
To play this song Because it is High Energy!! and I could use multiple Moves
for myself and my Girlfriend Debbie. When it was our turn we stood at the
back of the Building. this song started and my Sister Eva Screamed " RIP
THE HOUSE DOWN"!!! My Mother, Rose, And my Aunt Peggy and my Uncle
Nelson Screamed "HOLY SHIT"!!!! My Sisters Eva, Nancy, And Caroline came
Running up and got into a Rhythm and all HELL Broke Loose!!! Then Myself
and my girlfriend Debbie came Flipping and Flying Over the top Of my Sisters
Everyone was Literally FREAKING OUT!!! Then Eva and I mixed dance moves
Including the Jitterbug!!! Rose and my Mother lost their minds!! Everyone
else was in SHOCK watching us Dance!! Rose and my Mother joined us on
The Floor and everyone there got the Dance Lesson of their LIVES!!! My
Mother , Rose And Myself Did the jitterbug and my cousins FREAKED OUT
In Fact The DJ lost his Mind!! so did everyone Else!!! All we heard was you
guys BLEW everyone AWAY!!! When we got done we won the Contest And I
was crying my eyes out from being wound up so tight!! When I Danced with
my Sisters, Rose, and my Mother It was the most BRUTAL Rush I ever Felt
I have the Time of my life Dancing with my Family!! My Mother and Rose
Kissed and hugged Everyone of us then said to Everyone There " Can my
Children Dance Or What""!! The Cheering for us was Deafening and the
Whole building Shook!!! My Mother then Said when these kids are on
Roller Skates they are Even more Dangerous!!! Later when we went Home
My Mother And Rose Were in Tears and they Said To Us " You Kids Are
BEYOND INCREDIBLE"!!! Rose And I Can't Express How much We Love
you Kids!!! You Make Us So PROUD!!!!!

Marlon was singing lead on this one

Frankie Layman's version was my favorite, but if Michael had sang all of this one, it would be my favorite. The other Jacksons do a good job but Michael is awesome on this version.
