Wonderland
The Jet Age of Tomorrow Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm in a wonderland whenever she starts to speak.

This girl, I'm in a wonderland whenever she starts to speak.
This girl, I don't think she ever sees a thing in me.

Racing through my fantasy,
Racing through my fantasy,
All I see is her and me.
She's racing through my fantasy.
Racing in my mind.
After her all the time.
She's just racing through my fantasy.
I see you and never a dream.

This girl,
You stay on solid ground, you'll never know.
Without wings you'll never float.
Without wind you're just a ghost.

Without dreams you'll never coast,
You'll never coast.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in The Jet Age of Tomorrow's song Wonderland are about being infatuated with a girl who the singer finds enchanting. Whenever she speaks, he enters a "wonderland," suggesting that their conversations are so mesmerizing that they transport him into a dream-like state. The singer feels a deep connection to this girl in his fantasy and sees himself with her, but acknowledges that she probably doesn't see him in the same way.

The lyrics also touch on the idea of having dreams and the importance of holding onto them. The line "without dreams you'll never coast" suggests that without ambition and aspiration, one will never achieve anything. The singer also feels like the girl he admires is someone who has dreams, and by chasing after her, he is subconsciously pursuing his own goals.

Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of longing and a desire to connect with someone who the singer finds alluring. It is a song about the power of imagination, dreams, and how they can transform one's reality.

I remember watching this back then, I think the same night Yonkers had came out and I remember flipping my sister's room into a little lounge and gaming room after she moved out. I was watching this video on Xbox 360 lights off not worrying about shit with a weird ass LED set up adding to the vibe. This was the whole vibe for the time if you were an OF fan or weird ass kid who got their music off the internet. The internet was a lot more chill than it was too period.
All I was doing was working at a fast food joint, taking some classes at community college, smoking weed, all day on tumblr (before that shit went down hill), and smoking. I miss these days before the music industry caught on and really started putting out plants to imitate groups like Odd Future who were grass roots DIY. And the fucked up part is how transparent they are with it, it's kind of insulting. I trying to learn to stop giving a fuck about what's trending, stop letting my current job stress me so much and just trying to get back to this chill vibe. Plus I'm getting too damn old to give a shit. So here's to Jet Age and OF as a whole for providing the soundtrack for some good times, and showing the kids you don't have to do what the next one is doing to cut out a place in this shit.

- Korg R3 (Used on the start of Welcome Home Son for the sound effect and in other songs)
- Micro Korg (seen in this video @ 2:47)
