1. The LEGION's march started back in 1999 with the purpose to bring black plague, death and violence to this world. In early 2000 the demo "Bloodaeons" was recorded. This four-track blasterpiece of cold and grim black metal gained very good response when released later the same year.
In the year 2002 The LEGION entered Los Angered Recording in Gothenburg. Four new songs were recorded which resulted in a 7" vinyl / MCD entitled "Awakened Fury". This release made Listenable Rec. (Fr) interested in the band and a three album deal was inked.
The LEGION went off to famous Abyss Studios in late June 2003 to record their debut album "Unseen to Creation" together with producer Peter Tägtgren. In October the same year "Unseen…" was released on CD and on a limited, hand numbered gatefold vinyl in 500 copies.
The march continues with a European tour in 2004 and new material is being written for the second opus. During the year 2005 the follow-up to "Unseen…" is recorded, partly in the bands own studio Art Decay and partly in Endarker studio who is owned by Marduk bassist Magnus "Devo" Andersson. The new album is entitled "Revocation" and is set for release in late February 2006.
The LEGION's line-up has changed a few times during the years and today the horde consists of the three founding members Emil Drautinovic (drums), David Svartz (guitar) and Rikard Kottelin (guitar). Lately a new vocalist has been recruited, called Kjetil Hektoen (also in Enthral and Crest of Darkness). The bass is handled by session member Kristoffer Andersson of Sargatanas Reign.

In the song Retribution by The Legion, the artist narrates the consequences of magic lanterns and the burden that comes with being misled by them. The lyrics in the first verse describe the silence that is too loud and the desolation that engulfs the singer. The second verse mentions the weak people who are misguided by the deceptive magic lanterns and instead of striving towards successful deeds; they are paralysed by false hope, ultimately leading them into a great tragedy. Thus, retribution will be sought and delivered by the dragons, who will rise to extinguish the false breed of people.
The third verse sets the scene where the henchmen have been carved out of the mountains and the inviolable giants have risen from the haunted dungeons to join the unholy horde. The specters impale the womb of the betrayers and feast on the unborn, while the Titans demand human sacrifice. The final verse describes the unbreakable shields that reflect the vexation and cries of devastation and pain of the dying followers. The Legion personifies the dragons as a mythical creature that rises and avenges its victims.

These beings are arming themselves with old, powerful weaponry and crying out for battle.

Their indestructible shields mirror the frustration and anger of the group.

The future looks bleak and full of frustration and disappointment.

The sound of intense pain and sadness from those who have suffered due to the group's actions.
Pain the dying followers
These people are dying and feeling a great deal of pain, likely due to having supported the group's cause.
